Do you think image resets after a big hand?

After showing down a big bluff or a strong hand, I feel like the whole table’s perception of me changes instantly.

But I’m not sure how long that actually lasts before players forget and go back to playing normally.

Do you think table image sticks for a long time, or resets pretty quickly after a few hands?

There is no image at the table... there are rules... if you have a big stack and you're a maniac, it's easier to reset than to take risks) And play when you have monsters)))

It depends on the stakes you play.

If it's a good bluff a good player won't think much of it, if it's a terrible bluff a good player is going to mark you down as a fish. You have to be realistic about the stakes you're playing at, how good you are compared to your opponents and are they even skilled enough to know how to adapt to what you're doing even if it is wrong.

In general, at lower stakes most people make lots of the same mistakes. A good player and a bad player can see their opponent's cards at showdown and get two completely different things out of the same play.

Great one. I believe it depends on how many times you do it, if you just did it once or twice, it won't really stick, but for some players that do it over and over, I tend to remember them, even when we move tables and bump into, I still know that okay this one is a bluffer

Here's the translation:

“I don't think your image at the table completely redefines itself after a strong hand, at least not immediately.”
Even if players forget some details, the overall impression tends to remain for a while. If you played conservatively and showed a strong hand, you will probably receive even more respect when betting on subsequent hands.
At the same time, I noticed that in fast fold formats like Rush, this effect is much smaller, since players change all the time.”

probably your stack is more important then image because hands can be various but your stack lets you play difrently.

Whatever the hand outcome, players should never try and build an Image at the table!
The only aspect which will help you stand out is Character and not Image!
Lastly, Character has no expiry whereas as an Image does have one!

Table image matters, but at low stakes it usually does not last as long as it feels. Most players are more focused on their own cards than on what you showed a few hands ago.
If you show a big bluff or a very strong hand, it can definitely affect how people react for the next few orbits. They may call you lighter if they see you as aggressive, or they may give your bets more respect if they only saw strong showdowns.
But for most recreational players, that “memory” is short. After a few hands, especially if nothing unusual happens, they usually return to their standard style. Regulars notice these things for much longer and can adjust much more accurately.
So table image is important, but it should not be overrated. It is usually more valuable to understand a specific opponent and their habits than to try building a long-term image at every table.
