You should join the group again, as we almost exclusively talk about poker hands in there (esp Marg).

**** skype groups, getting messages every 5 seconds is too annoying for me.

if you can get rid of that little orange number thing at the bottom I'd consider it

Maybe fold flop actually. River is a fold imo. I think we are up against a set for sure...

He's repping a flopped monster (specifically 33/TT - unfortunately for us 54ss gets there otr) the whole way, so either we call river with our disguised 2p (why else did we not raise the turn except to keep his bluffs in and bink vs his value?) hoping he's bluffing or we fold. It's close, but after almost 500 hands I might have an idea as to how likely he is to have one or the other based on his previous post flop behaviour.

I would be looking at WTSD/W$SD/WWSF, x/r flop tendancies, and any notes I'd made to help me make my river decision.

Jack - fold flop with a pair + FD? I think the flops always a snap, regs can x/r boards like this vs BTN ranges w/ absolute air given we never have much to continue w/ even if we think they're light.

token continues on the turn I think, the river decision might have affected your flop decision though?

:D genius.

I figured it was marginal, ish. At the time I thought it was close but then for the rest of the night this reg in particular was giving up vs me a lot on flops/turns so we never got to rivers in big pots.

I doubt this reg, or most regs at my limit are defending BB vs BTN w/ 54s or set mining since most regs opening ranges OTB are 40%+ now.

TT is a possibility but when you've got top set + blockers to the majority of my flop peeling range why x/r > over letting me barrel? this kind of applies to his sets as well in all honesty but I have blockers and I again, I don't think he peels vs my BTN open.

KQs makes more sense for him to pot the turn w/ given our flop calling range is worse FD's/nut FD's/PP's/Tx. (maybe I should be peeling 3x/2x there on flops, i'm not sure) that also makes a straight OTR.

but the thing that confused me was the fact the river A wasn't the As, which means if he has it in his hand like say AQs, he could think his hands good here and be shoving for value? (mainly because he doesn't know what to do here, I mean I don't if I had AQs in that spot) .

sorry for the wall, anyone reading feel free to destroy my theory!

Yes of course KQss also makes sense, I didn't see that first time round for some reason. Ummm I still think it comes down to how nitty he is post flop. We need a good read to put TP into his river shipping range imo.

I think river's a fold vs. most people but it's definitely super exploitable it means you basically have no calling range on that river. It usually doesn't matter though since no one bluffs there ever and with his sizing I don't think he ever vbets worse. Flop and turn played fine though.

ok, apparently HA > women on a poker forum.. wtf?

so here you go, its one of those 'should I bluff' spots.

note: decided I was getting x/c a lot by weak value hands OTF but all the hands that are giving up x/f turns anyway so thats my reasoning for checking flop.

Why did we call the turn if we weren't planning to bluff when he seems to give up? I know we have a FD + GS, but meh. I think river bet seems standard.

+1 for sexay ladays.

I dunno, just feels like his line is QQ/Jx/air/weak Kx a small amount of the time.

I wish he'd bet so I could shove tbh.

this x/c line looks like such a pot controlling spot so he doesnt have to play for stacks, which sucks for me.

which is why I think this spot gets a bit more difficult.

Ah ok so you think he's checking because you bluff hands that don't call if he bets?

no, I think he's checking because he has a hand that warrants one street of value given board texture.

its one he'd be happy to get to showdown with and/or call a river bet with but not one strong enough for him to bet for value.

UNLESS he thinks my turn call range is so floaty/full of busted draws > SD hands that he's checking to induce.

thats my worry.

Hand 1, I THINK we can GII profitably here. I prob back-raise to get him to spazz out sometimes, planning to call off. We're doing fine against AK/KK+, so as long as he can do this with AK, I'm pretty comfy GII.

Hand 2, I'm struggling because he's obv a fish, and erring on side of aggro, but he also limped pre, so he can have tons of rando flopped two pair or sets OTF. But does he check the flop IP with them? Gaahhhh I'm conflicted. Think we likely don't have enough info to make a solid decision here since we've only got ten hands on him, but I prob sigh-GII in real life and fist pump when he turns over J9o or like 69o (cause "LOL it's my fave hand!").
