Don't remember that, not a normal play for me I don't think.. I was 18/15 last time i checked, but yeah I guess I may be too tight in some spots - was hoping things like this may be brought up by showing vids. Put another vid up with better sound, and tiled...

Would be interesting to hear your thoughts in the video too. Like why you're 3betting a UTG open with AQs OTB and what your getting value from when you overbet a FH OTR when the action when F - x/c, T -x/x, R - x, over bet

Ok I will try talk through my thought process more if I do another one. I'm guessing those are both badly played hands by me? I thought 3 betting from button with that hand is pretty standard?

I haven't watched the vid yet, but the point pocketehs is getting at is that it's not your position that is as important. It's the fact that an UTG range is pretty tight. We will be ahead of it, but probably not ahead of an UTG raise/flat or raise/4bet range.

Just finished the vid. Overall impression was that you play rather weak/tight. That's not a huge criticism, cos you can beat 10NL like that, but you can do better.

A few things:-

*4 colour deck please! :)

*I saw you open fold AT in the SB twice, but then open K2s(which is fine) vs a rampant 3bettor. You need to think about position/villains more. To be clear, opening K2s in the SB is fine, but it then doesn't make sense folding AT.

*You sorta floated with KQ otf to a weak donkbet, bluff raised another weak bet on the turn when the 4 straight came in and then binked your K otr and didn't value bet it. Given the board had a FD otf he rarely has the straight ott (he'll bet bigger/gii right). We can value bet the river. Do not 'get there' and then check it back.

*Have you got a light 3betting range. Again, not necessary at 10NL, but you would do better to target a reasonable 3betting range vs people who call too much and people who fold too much (you can work out what each should look like - one wider for value, one with some funky shit in there).

*There were a couple of tight folds, but meh, probably OK.

*oh and cheer up mate, poker's fun :D

A few questions about recording vids if anyone can help:
- Is Quicktime on Macs OK? I guess you need the 'high quality' setting.
- Do you need a Mic? I tested out making a vid, I don't have a mic and it sounded OK to me when I played it back.
- What length of video can you upload onto Youtube and are there any special upload settings you need to apply?

Highest quality possible, so when it converts it on Youtube we get to see it in resplendent HD should we choose to.

If you reckon you sound OK, then I guess it's fine. I use a headset, they cost like approx nothing, so you could just pick one of those up.

Youtube will work out the quality automatically, just upload the big video file and let them do the rest.

A couple of other things. Don't forget to have your phone on loud, and a bowl of crisps nearby in case you get peckish.

Thanks cafeman for spending the time to watch. I never really liked the look of four colour decks but I suppose I could give it a go. I will try to work on blind play, was previously loosing a lot from sb hence trying to tighten up, I guess when its unopened I should be more aggro though.

Will have a look at the hand you mentioned, I guess I could get value more in some spots, I just.

My main 3 betting at the moment is either with ak/qq + or when I'm in blinds and I think button is raising too many hands unopened, I guess I should explore more opportunities based on villain tendancies.

I always sound like that but will try be more happy next time :)

Thanks I do appreciate your comments!

Just looked, @ 10nl my 3betpre is 3.89% , @ 5nl is 4.3%, @ 2NL is 5.3% I guess I need to work on this.

Does pokertracker let you select hands and see what percent they make up? Like AK/QQ+ is what percent? I know you can filter by hands, but not sure if you can use it to find % ranges of hands.

I know most people use pokerstove for this but not sure how to get it on mac. I'm a bit simple when it comes to software.

For 5NL and 2NL your 3bet is fine there is no reason really to be 3betting light as most players at these levels are playing abc and not really paying attention to your 3betting ranges.

Should be fine 3b a little lighter at 10NL just to balance your 3b range vs competent regs which you will definitely find at 10NL but don't go out of your way and get crazy as it can also become quite a bad leak to be 3betting to light and then getting out played post flop.

4% could be something like JJ+/AQ+ at a guess (on phone atm).
No need to go crazy, but if you pick your spots and villains out well enough you should be able to profitably open it up a little.

People either fold too much to 3bets, or fold too little. Figure out which and let them give you monies. At 10nl/25nl I 3bet about 8%. I suck at pokers doh.

Wanted to X/J flop but I don't think he bets TT/AK. Turn obviously sucks balls for us. Any alternative way to play this?

PokerStars - $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 100 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 6)
UTG: 111.5 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 33.33, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 6)
CO: 97.5 BB (VPIP: 20.00, PFR: 20.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 15)
BTN: 135.5 BB (VPIP: 16.67, PFR: 16.67, 3Bet Preflop: 33.33, Hands: 6)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q:club: A:club:

UTG calls 1 BB, fold, BTN raises to 4 BB, Hero raises to 14 BB, fold, fold, BTN calls 10 BB

Flop: (30 BB, 2 players) J:club: J:spade: 3:club:
Hero bets 20 BB, BTN calls 20 BB

Turn: (70 BB, 2 players) T:spade:
Hero bets 66 BB and is all-in, BTN calls 66 BB

River: (202 BB, 2 players) A:spade:

fine with it, he defo bets flop with 1010, but i prefer this line anyway. i dunno why this turn sucks so much for us, i mean 1010 has us dead but we picked up way more outs v 99-77. J10 can be moderately discounted due to sizing.
he calls with Jx but we are in ok shape v that,QQ+ gets it in pre, and AK probably makes an incorrect fold on the turn way too often.

fwiw I usually discount some QQ when people had the opportunity to 4b pre and didn't, but I don't think everyone is snap-gii with QQ pre.

I've hardly been playing any poker recently so I thought my game might have been off. Hence why I am also playing 2NL. Yeah maybe turn isn't so bad for us - I was purely thinking in terms of FE. Gives us more FE than a 6 or something, but also hits his range better.

Thanks for the feedback!

Only 3 combos to begin with plus discounting.
