I imported http://acepokersolutions.com/files/Cold Call Overall.pt4qf to PT4, but no hands appear. I asked if any other PT user has been able to make the filter work, but it seems that nobody else has tried it.What issue are you having loading the filters?
This play alone has been profitable for me the past month since reading your e-book. As you mentioned in your book, it works great against the aggresive regs that are mass multi-tabling and opening often from the cut-off/button and then look for those profitable board textures (low paired boards and low coordinated boards) where hero has a good amount of equity with gut shots and back door outs.
With all the knowledge/insight gained from LeakBuster and Polished Poker e-book, I took 4th today in the America's Card Room $1.5k GTD and finished in the money 2 out of 3 in their nightly $12.5k GTD this week. According to LeakBuster, I just need to focus on my PFR/VP$P, Agg% & Flop Agg. Looks like once I start check/raising more on the flop and eliminate limping behind too often preflop, I'll be a much improved NLHE poker player. Many thanks, John!!
You have the option staking? No I read it. But such statistics should invest in you![]()
Here's a couple of HM2 filters for blind play. I'll play with PT and try and get the same filters.
Cold Call from Blinds Overall
Cold Call from Blinds Non-Premium
Right click, and select save as. Then load them into the HM2 filter list.
Were you able to make these filters work for PokerTracker? Are you able to create these filters that would work for both tournaments and cash games in PT?
This month I plan to work on:
- 3betting, especially IP
- squeezing
- being a bit more aggressive in general
I will have something meaningful to report in a while, hopefully![]()
Ok, good. Anyone try implementing quasi 3-betting ranges?
Ok, if you aren't, then try it.
So the next person I'm going to be doing some free coaching with is... drum roll....
vinylspiros
I'll PM you for details and times when we can meet up.
You gotta be kidding me? really?!!! Thats awesome.!!!! Like awesome awesome. For real????![]()

Well tbf I play on Bovada as well, and Zone, so no knowledge of opp's.
Also, this is just my perception, and from my own past experience, but I think where more people struggle with 3bets is when they get called when they aren't at the top of their range or don't smash the flop. BTN opens, and they 3bet A5o in the BB, and the BTN flats. Flop comes JT4tt, and hero goes, "great, NOW wtf do I do?!"
People's 3bet "skills" are way ahead of their postflop abilities, and it gets them into trouble.
Alright, so no other questions about chapter 6, then we're on to Chapter 7. 3-betting. Ahh... such a fun topic for most. Quick question.... anyone start using the quasi 3-betting range yet, and what have you experienced? I'm going to talk (or in this case write) a lot about this, and for good statistical reason as well. I'll get you to verify some of this information through your own data as well when I get to it. But for now, just interested in hearing people's experience, questions, etc...
