So you right click the link and did save as, and then imported it into Pt4? It should show lots of hands. I've tried it myself and it works fine.

So moving along. I'm going to assume if there's questions about pgs 57 - 69, you'll ask. I want to go onto pg 69, out of the norm lines.

One of the first parts, stop and go. This is found money if you can employ this in the right spots, so I'd make sure you take a look at it, and understand it. In what common scenario do you think this works with a high frequency of success?

This play alone has been profitable for me the past month since reading your e-book. As you mentioned in your book, it works great against the aggresive regs that are mass multi-tabling and opening often from the cut-off/button and then look for those profitable board textures (low paired boards and low coordinated boards) where hero has a good amount of equity with gut shots and back door outs.

Good! As one student told me awhile back, it's found money. If you're doing it properly, it can easily add at least 1BB/100 to your winrate. Sounds like you're implementing it perfectly.

With all the knowledge/insight gained from LeakBuster and Polished Poker e-book, I took 4th today in the America's Card Room $1.5k GTD and finished in the money 2 out of 3 in their nightly $12.5k GTD this week. According to LeakBuster, I just need to focus on my PFR/VP$P, Agg% & Flop Agg. Looks like once I start check/raising more on the flop and eliminate limping behind too often preflop, I'll be a much improved NLHE poker player. Many thanks, John!!

Alright, so no other questions about chapter 6, then we're on to Chapter 7. 3-betting. Ahh... such a fun topic for most. Quick question.... anyone start using the quasi 3-betting range yet, and what have you experienced? I'm going to talk (or in this case write) a lot about this, and for good statistical reason as well. I'll get you to verify some of this information through your own data as well when I get to it. But for now, just interested in hearing people's experience, questions, etc...

Were you able to make these filters work for PokerTracker? Are you able to create these filters that would work for both tournaments and cash games in PT?

Right click, and select save as. Then load them into the HM2 filter list.

I posted somewhere in here the PT filters as well. They worked fine for me when I loaded them.

So you guys ready to do some more learning? I'd assume playing in 3-bet pots can be a struggle for a lot of people, so surprised we haven't stumbled on some questions here. Something I want to highlight about for the section on quasi range, and that's initiative against aggressive or opponents who open too often. Initiative isn't really valued as much as it should be, so here's some homework for you. If you want to learn about your game, then follow along.

Instead of doing the filters for you this time though, I want you to do them yourself, but run these, don't skip over this and post what you find in here also. So set a filter where you are cold calling the following hands in these groups (so do each separate and write down your total $'s and bb/100 w/ sample size).

AQo/AQs
AJo/AJs
ATo/ATs
KQo/KQs
KJo/KJs

So someone opened raised and you called (from whichever position, no re-raise, and the pot wasn't 3 or 4-bet).

Now take the same hands and look at them when someone opened and you 3-bet (the pot was not 4-bet), and compare your results. What did you find?

Is there any chance you can talk about how to apply some of this stuff against unknowns? I pretty much just play zone and a few MTT's on Bovada so I'm never really playing against people I have stats on which makes a lot of what you are saying a bit difficult for me to figure out how to apply to my game.

Well tbf I play on Bovada as well, and Zone, so no knowledge of opp's.

Also, this is just my perception, and from my own past experience, but I think where more people struggle with 3bets is when they get called when they aren't at the top of their range or don't smash the flop. BTN opens, and they 3bet A5o in the BB, and the BTN flats. Flop comes JT4tt, and hero goes, "great, NOW wtf do I do?!"

People's 3bet "skills" are way ahead of their postflop abilities, and it gets them into trouble.

Well, if i have understood correctly Quasi-3 betting ranges are hands that we would usually call and sometimes 3bet if we think villain is opening super wide and we are in position or like you said we want to ISO fish and outplay him post or flop better cause we are ahead of his range,right?

Problem is i dont like 3 betting with Quasi hands in general in the micros.(cause i play ZOOM and i have found it to be burning money unless i hit cause people are player a bit tighter than usual)

I believe that it can be profitable of course but alot of the time they will not fold to 3bet(cause its the micros) and if they hit any piece of that board they will check call all the way to the river. I'm not saying that it is not and has not been very profitable in the past but since i have started playing alot of zoom lately, i believe that flatting and then check calling flop and then 3betting turn is more profitable.(assuming i connect)

Another Question i had is , im not too sure as to how to get HM2 to bring up the exact stats you requested us to look at. Such as flat and then see how it went when it was 3bet.

Will look into that though.

Yea, i agree. And most of the time we/they get into trouble by making a 3bet, missing, and then barreling relentlessly and taking things too far.

If an ace comes up, u fire the flop since u have 3bet pre and he flats and the board is too dry,, you might have to fire one more barrel in my opinion to see if he flatted to keep you honest.(with a small pp or air)

The thing is alot of people convince themselves that he is check calling because he is chasing the flush or the open ender or has middle pair or something like that when IMO we should be barreling with outs. I dont think its productive to fire that turn barrel when you are not drawing to anything in general. and then when the flush misses to shove river.

I might be off here but ive noticed lately that ABC works very well in the micros and that 3 betting Quasi ranges requires caution??? (flatting more optimal in micros?)))??
