I know I know fold PRE but occasionally I call, I thought about leading or C/R flop but decided against it. Once the Ten hit the turn I was either hoping to hit or bluffing river as more Tens in my Range than UTG. Main target was to get him to fold 88/99/JJ/QQ

I love you Rhom, but I'm going to have to fly out to where you are and give a you a wet willy or something every time you have a impulse to play these hands. They are just a drain on your bankroll. Run a filter for every time you've cold called off suited and suites small connectors out of the blinds. Do you know how often I play these? Zero percent. Every so often out of the BB if there's many fish, I'll consider it, but generally zero. Never out of the SB. Why? Because I've literally looked at hundreds of thousands of hands and I can't find people who play this spot profitably.

As to the bluff... again, what are you repping, and what do you expect to fold out? I'm not seeing it.

AK we have two overcards and three backdoor draws which is enough for me to cbet this flop. As soon as you check this flop its unlikely you have anything worth protecting. So no jack and overpairs bet for value and to charge the flush draws.
As played the 2 spades arrives we have a gutshot and flush draw so I don't mind the half pot there, it sets the price. The 7 is a brick, no one has 64 in this spot in a 3bet pot 100bb deep. I'm looking you up with my likely TT 99 88 one of which is a spade.

Hand 2 its been said already.
On the river I can't see what you are looking to fold out, only decent aces are using firing that big on the turn. Small aces, KK QQ JJ should be pot controlling the turn. all we can rep is the trip tens or a set of 7s both of which probably bet bigger for value. Its like some sort of weird oversized post oak bluff, but for it to work we need to have lured him in with a big hand like this before but we only have 14 hands on him. Hes probably looking you up just to see what you are doing, I expect you to be beaten here nearly always but at least if he did have air it was probably stronger air than 54.....lol...

Seem to be struggling with AK in 3Bet and single Raised pots. Used to CBET mostly but seemed to get Check Raised alot when IP or floated alot when OOP

Then tended to delay CBET if they checked back the flop, maybe just when through a phase where everybody was aggro on the flop

Mate I do too, its easy to forget its just ace high with a bit of potential and not a lot of potential once the flop is whiffed. Don't over play it post flop in 3bet pots, oop I'm usually just giving up unless we have good backdoor chances and overs like you had here. One thing I will do is bluff if they have low WTSD over a good sample.

Hand 1
looks like they just have a pair or stubborn Ace high although outside chance of 68suited and for some reason scared of the boat. Read somewhere better to 3bet with suited gapper and call with suited connectors when in position.

Hand 2
Considering no real draws then they may have a hand that you can get value. At least a Ten but i'm leaning more towards 2 pair, T6s or T2 suited so bet around $4

A lot of your money w/ AK is made pre-flop. When you get to the flop, dry boards c/c OOP (not always), and then lead some turns if you continue to whiff (again not always). IP, you can check some flops. You don't always have to c-bet when you whiff. Texture texture texure and opponent dependent.

Post up some AK hands. It's a good topic.

Hand 1, brilliantly played. I maybe would have bet a little less on the turn (I think that's what I was saying at the time but you were in tired mode).

LOL If I remember rightly, I was tired! He was raising a lot of junky flops and YOU said "what is he repping on that board, call, we can outplay this guy, what you going to bet on the end?" The 8 hit and you said "Ah now you can bet whatever you like!"
If we did whiff, the pot was about $6 with about $7.30 behind, I think I'd prefer a value looking bluff of around $4.30, which saves us 20bb if we do get called.

Hand 1. I still don't understand why he called with the hand he had? I have many pocket pairs here having called the 3bet

Lmao it was tough hearing John over your snoring. Bud you drifted off for about 5 min.

One thing that came out of the session is maybe I need to get a bit more sticky in position with plans in place to bluff a few more rivers on suitable runouts.
The last leak buster review I did picked up floating as a leak but that will be because it rains more in the Sahara than I bluff on the river with air.
I know this is an area where I'm weak, I could do with reviewing hands to actually identify good spots. (outside of obvious flushes arriving)
I will usually bluff when I have no chance of winning at showdown.

Hehe... ya, I like your sizing if you whiff. Maybe could have even bet less, because most likely he just had air, but maybe if he has a small pair there, might as well make sure he folds it.

Hand 2, I was saying he either has A high or some other middle pocket pair he might call with if you bet on the larger side of your range because your hand looks fairly bluffy if you bet big here. nh.

I don't think I've ever voluntarily played J4 unless its 4 handed or less. And even then it would only be as an open from LP looking to steal.

I like betting into pfr on certain boards, especially MW - draw heavy boards, or boards where if no one has anything, you're not making much any ways. It tends to confuse opponents and disguise your range a little more. But it needs to be very specific scenarios, that hand being one I would have.

6bb's... strange... but yeah, KJ was a little optimistic of him. But it's 10nl and you'll get people drawing to hands w/ no to little implied odds a lot.

Nothing wrong with a strong donk bet when you are pretty sure the pf agrsr has missed their flop. assuming they have a decently large range

j4 is never a good idea. unless its v small blinds in a small blind or low risk situation
