Small ball in PLO

Do you think a small ball strategy like Daniel Negraneau's is good in PLO? I play Omaha but I feel I'm not aggressive enough.

Buy and read "Farha on Omaha". In his PLO chapter (there are two others: one covering Limit Hi only and another on Limit Omaha 8) he advocates a very aggressive Small-Ball like strategy for PLO cash games. Sammy is one of the top PLO players alive (maybe the best, I don't know). I don't play much PLO myself, but the book and its advice seem strong. He advocates his style but also balances with a more straightforward style so you can see the differences and choose the right style for you. Be warned though, his style is very prone to large swings so you'll need a bigger bankroll.

I believe the best strategy in PLO is to play it as if it were NLO, if youve
every played it before, and i tell ya its a sick game. You always go for
the nuts or a hand very close to the nutz, since omaha is in itself a nutz
game. Dont take to many risks, and dont get confused between the value
of the hands in omaha and those of Texasholdem. 2 pairs wont get you
anywhere, unless you catch them on the flop, which isnt that bad and has
a lot of potential.

Depending on the stakes PLO can end up being very much like NLO. It only takes a few people to call pot sized pf bet to make the pot juicy enough that by the turn bet the pot is worth half of most peoples stacks. It eliminates the flop all in bets, but then again anyone trying to make any money isn't going to go all in on the flop anyway unless they are trying to disguise there hand as a bluff with the nuts.
