Transitioning from tournaments to cash

I play cash games only when I need to clear a rollover requirement; I think you have to be very aggressive to get good results in cash games, which isn't my style.

I think you should play more aggressively in cash games.

Ive run into some unexp-ected problems:
Like I go on tilt too much in cash games.
Also bc the game is new to me (on a serious level), I got too much "stufff" in my head on how to play instead of just playn.

im still figuring it out..but aggression def plays a big part. Im still figuring out how much Aggression is too much and what is not enough

I honestly don't think the fundamentals will change. But it is true that there are very important details that make a big difference, especially the pressure to play with real money instead of chips.

I think the key turning point when migrating from MTT to cash games is to change the mentality from survival to maximizing EV.
The focus is now on the post-flop game, as the blinds don't increase like in the MTTs

You need to train in cash games; once you have acquired sufficient skill, your brain will be convinced that you are making the right decision in every hand, and you will automatically gain the self-confidence to know you will achieve a positive result by the end of the month.

I think it's much easier to go from cash to tournament, than tournament to cash. The transition is probably much quicker.

One thing that helped my transition a lot was treating table/game selection as its own skill. In tournaments you're stuck with whatever table you're assigned, but in cash you can actually choose to sit with weaker lineups or leave a tough table without any penalty. That single habit probably improved my winrate more than any range adjustment. Also agree with the point on early position - I tightened up there specifically because limpers and cold-callers in cash games tend to be stickier post-flop than tournament players who are more willing to fold to pressure with a shallower stack.
