Would you rather play against nits or maniacs in cash games ?

I’ll take maniac opponents. Makes the game more dynamic. But ideally what I really want is maniacs to my right and nits to my left.

Either as long as they are losing players. Hard to make much money from nits buy variance is low. With maniacs variance is high but its generally profitable if in position (assuming they are not just a good LAG)

A table full of Nits all day every day. Nits over fold so we get to steal pots all day long- then when they have something good AA KK Top Pair best kicker we get to stack them with better and fold worse. Nits play face up if we know how our V play we make the most money from them over time.

I want maniac arama.....cash games are too dull with the slow grind against nits.....of course if they are also terrible, then I'll take them!! Haha

"I'd usually rather play against maniacs. They create bigger pots, make more mistakes, and are willing to put money in with weaker ranges. The variance can be higher, but if you're patient and disciplined, there are often more opportunities to profit.
Nits can be easier to read, but they also tend to avoid big mistakes and won't pay you off very often when you have a strong hand. Against nits, you end up grinding lots of small pots. Against maniacs, one good hand can lead to a huge payout.
That said, the dream table is probably a mix of both—nits who fold too much and maniacs who bluff too much. Then you can adjust your strategy depending on who's in the hand." ♠️🃏💰🔥

I prefer maniacs. Sure the swings are bigger, but at least they make mistakes. Against nits it feels like watching paint dry and folding for 2 hours.

Maniacs are where the easy money comes from and usually pretty quick but you want them on your right. The money off nits comes slower and from mostly smaller pots over time. Doesn't matter to me I'll simply adjust my game for the table and villain in the hand at the time.

I feel more comfortable playing against nits. It's more predictable.
But it depends more on how well the opponent adapts. If you exploit it and they don't adjust, it could be anyone.

I do t like nits , I think they call only when they have a very good hand , so it's hard to get paid when you have the strongest hand . Maniacs on the other hand might play looser , call more hands , take more risks , pay your best hand more often , imo

Maniacs, but only with position on them. Station_Master's point about seating is the key variable here - a maniac to your left is a nightmare because they act after you and can blow the pot up once you've already committed, but a maniac to your right basically pays you off every time you wake up with a real hand since you get to see what they do first. Nits are just a low-variance grind; you know their range is always strong so there's no creativity required, you're just waiting them out and stealing blinds. Maniacs at least give you the chance to win a monster pot off one good read, even if the swings are rougher.

Most players prefer facing maniacs in cash games because they make more mistakes and are easier to exploit. Nits are predictable and allow more blind steals, but they usually don't pay off big hands. Overall, maniacs offer the greatest long-term profit for disciplined players.

Maniacs on my right, and nits on my left. In that way I can play in position against the maniacs, and the nits will only content my opens, if they have a strong hand
