Why do we sit down to play? Of course, because of the illusion that the jackpot can hit at any time. Since this sometimes happens, we sit down to give ourselves another chance to win (similar to poker, although luck plays a bigger role here).

Yep, tournaments are a good reason to go to a casino. And yes, slot machines are for fools, unless you want to have a little fun killing some time like you said.

I've only gone to the casino with friends... just for fun, play a few games, dinner, that sort of thing,

there are casinos that have beach resorts attached, haven't gone to one of those yet,

but that would be fun (y)

Those are very nice indeed. Unfortunately, also very expensive to stay in.

There's definitely a lot more than just the vibes and looks in casinos, but if you go only for those two, you'll be discovering so much more. And it doesn't have to be Vegas either.
Just wondering, there are casinos in canada too, right?

Yeah but since i really hate to play anything with an house edge for me its pointless to go theyre unless its for poker or the vibes.

For me, the draw isn’t the games — it’s the environment. Casinos offer a mix of excitement and escape: people-watching, the buzz of big wins, late-night conversations, shows, restaurants, and the feeling of being somewhere that never really sleeps. Even without playing, it feels like stepping into a different world for a few hours.

I'd like to go to Casino de Monte-Carlo, as it is iconic landmark with symbolic value. I have no idea what it would cost to go there, and I would not go for playing, but just to see the place. I have actually visited Monaco, but was not so into poker and casinos at that time. But nowadays I would very gladly go. It has seen so many eras and known people and the Building itself is a piece of art.

Very well said. I always have that feeling when I'm in a casino.
Even though casinos could be "Lethal" for some, they really provide a unique experience. All what people need is to be "responsible" and disciplined.

Exactly. There's no fun like the one you can have in a casino considering the diversity of the available entertainment features, as long as you know why you're there for and stick to "plans".

I would say any casino provides some unique environment; you can enjoy your time being in any of them.
But there are a few that certainly stand out being known worldwide, whether because of their architecture, their "symbolic" and historical values or even because of some international events they became known for. Monte-Carlo is indeed one of those.
