I've always found the ability to shuffle cards amazing. And sometimes shuffling is almost magical! Dealers have a great responsibility when doing so.

I started playing cards before I even started school. I wouldn't say I can do anything magical, but what you see in these videos is absolutely basic stuff.

I shuffle like the first one, and learned when I was about ten, we were a card-playing family.
But I have seen many people who had a difficult time shuffling. You didn't say anything about your shuffling skill level

I won a real-life tourney once with a king, queen of hearts

, but the one-eyed queen should be with the one-eyed jack ❤️
I would definitely donate to the 10 of clubs after his loss in the shuffle

Yes, the automatic shuffler seems to be more practical for home games, and the dealer shuffling at the casino seems to be more traditional, although I believe many casinos use shuffling machines! Good luck to you!

I don't have such impressive skills. But I think if you set a goal for yourself. and practice hard every day, then in a few months you can achieve pretty good results. I also like when players shuffle chips. I even thought about buying myself a small set of chips and learning to do something interesting with them during the game when I play poker online.

Yes! Practice definitely brings good results, even though it’s hard at first, like anything new to us! And your motor skills have to be on point! Good luck to you!

I'm assuming that as he is playing, he can read the board, if not, watching the chips go the other way is the 2nd visual clue he has lost (personally coming second to you in a tourny wouldn't be a loss in my book) but to put down a 3rd visual clue is just rubbing it in, your opponent must have been feeling down enough, they may as well have shouted "Hey you broke bum, you busted, NOW GET OUTTA 'EARRRRR"

If your opponent at the table is showing such skill, I think it should be alarming. At least it would alarm me.

It’s really interesting to wonder whether there are specific rules regarding casino design and style, or if it simply depends on the owner's preferences. I’m not talking about ergonomics or the "no clocks" rule, but rather the actual aesthetic style.

Players who are somehow incredibly good at shuffling cards don't inspire any admiration in me. I know for a fact that you don't need talent for this, it's just a skill that each of us can acquire if we want to.

You can learn the basics, but the essence of talent is doing things that go far beyond the basics—things that are much more complex.

While an ordinary person is busy learning the fundamentals and developing manual dexterity, a talented individual—like Amayak Akopyan, for instance—will have already learned five times as much.

Just like in basketball—millions play, but Michael Jordan is the talented one.

If a player you don't know in a home game shuffles really well be careful , a bit suspicious and pay attention . Do the same if they are quite bad at shuffling .

I've been playing cards since I was in school and I've often, literally for years, carried a deck of cards with me when I went for a walk. So I've learned to shuffle the cards quite skillfully. It looks pretty impressive, but to be honest, it doesn't give much of an advantage.
