If someone gets banned from a casino, and with thousands of people walking in and out, how do the staff spot an offender?
Do they only rely on cameras, or do they have any other ways? Let alone that people can use all kinds of disguise.

Potential violators may be among those who win. I think that tables or places where there is a player who wins often or a lot may be of interest to security personnel. Given today's technology, cameras are now so advanced that they can identify anyone. I think that special programmes or, conditionally, AI are used for such identification.

If you are clever with a subtle disguise, maybe you can get away with it at a small venue, but then presumably the amounts you can win would be too small to be worth the effort. At larger places technology has won against banned individuals.

I Hope they will leave you alone one day Sami. You are a gentle person even if I don't like playing against you on Thursdays.

They have facial recognition.

Its also pretty easy to see if you are staying in the hotel, or if you use your club card.

Gait recognition is trivial to implement nowadays too, so unless you put rocks in one of your shoes you're going to be picked up by that also. Every square inch of that casino is monitored by at least one if not multiple cameras.

One of the strongest uses of AI tools in security is pattern recognition, and there are multiple data points that they can put together. This isn't like the old days where you had a bunch of dudes in uniforms having to play back footage from multiple recordings to try and spot patterns, that can all be done with AI now.

The 1st part is interesting. I actually was talking about several years ago, before the use of advanced technology, precisely AI, but I forgot to mention it.

If you have any ideas or good plans, I'm in. But then again, technology has gotten too sophisticated nowadays. We'll certainly need some inside help.

As I mentioned above, I was curious about how they used to catch people before the new tech. Especially AI. Sorry, I forgot to include that in my OP.
I guess without some good disguise, a violator could be easily caught.

True, we're living in what could've been considered an impossible "World" just several years ago.
Nevertheless, when I started this thread, I was thinking about a curiosity I always had, but before the rise of AI. Sorry, I did not think of saying it.

Already answered the 1st part.
But the 2nd fits more what I was looking for, except that staying in the hotel or using the card in the same place that banned you would show a great level of stupidity, don't you think?

Oh man, it's really getting scarier and scarier. I think within less than 20 years from now, "Man" will regret having come up with certain ideas.

Modern technology makes it easy to identify violators. If there are players willing to take risks and deliberately commit such violations, they probably won't risk it for a few hundred dollars. At least, that wouldn't be logical. And big wins are definitely under close scrutiny.

As I said before, I forgot to add "Before the rise of AI".
But you're right about the value for which one could take the risk.

Do they only rely on cameras, or do they have any other ways? Let alone that people can use all kinds of disguise.
casinos take bans (often called trespass or exclusion orders) very seriously, and they don’t rely on just one method. Large casinos—especially ones in places like Las Vegas or Macau—use multiple overlapping systems.

how they usually spot banned used:
1. Facial Recognition Technology
2. Dedicated Surveillance Teams (“Eye in the Sky”)
3. Shared Industry Databases
4. Player Cards & Loyalty Programs
5. Behavioral Profiling
6. Plainclothes Security

Hi, Sami!
I did some research and found this article. I think it contains some information about casino security over time:
Good luck to you!

The video surveillance systems and software used today are much better than you think :)
I am confident that there can be no problem with identifying offenders or fraudulent schemes.
