I did some research and found this article. I think it contains some information about casino security over time:

Great article Diva. A lot of instructive information, just in case I decide to outsmart my favorite casino's security personnel 🤪.
Thank you and good luck to you too 😍.

In my country, you can not go in the casino , not showing your ID . So, than they watch at data base and see if you are baned. 😎

That's actually a very effective way. Prevent things before they happen.

The video surveillance systems and software used today are much better than you think :)
I am confident that there can be no problem with identifying offenders or fraudulent schemes.

Again, when I started this thread, I was thinking about the days before technology got this advanced. I was curious to know how they could catch a banned player among the thousands of patrons who visit casinos every day. But I forgot to mention that.

I think that even changing the offender's gender is unlikely to help. Nowadays, technology is such that if they want to find you, they will find you anyway. It all depends on how much money is at stake.

Skynet is already in full swing, and expanding rapidly.

Pretty soon you won't even be able to fart without your ai proctologist giving you a prescription for something.

But don't worry , once the geo-fencing and full digital currency controls are in place, you won't even be able to get near anywhere you aren't allowed to go.

I think they have facial recognition these days haha before it was pretty hard to really ban someone unless they did something really crazy

I think security services rely primarily on cameras. I think they have a database and a special facial recognition system that is probably integrated into the police system. In addition, I think that casinos can track players' financial activity, payment methods, etc. I think that now there is a camera at every table, every slot machine or gaming area that can capture your face in HD quality and in full, so I think there is simply no problem with facial recognition.

Yeah, these days it's very easy for them. But I meant before AI, just forgot to mention it.

As I said before, it's very easy for them nowadays. But how did they catch violators years ago, before today's technology?

I think that nowadays, recognition and identification systems work in such a way that an offender will be detected, if not within the first few minutes, then definitely within the first hour. But as for how it was before, say 20-30 years ago, I think there could have been some difficulties with identification.

Now is the time when disguise is simply useless. You will be found and identified in 5 or 25 minutes, of course, depending on how badly they want to find you :)

That's totally true. But what about 20 or 40 years ago?

If any casino ever puts me on their blacklist, I’ll dress up as a funny fox (like the one in my profile picture). I’m sure no one will even know who I am. :ROFLMAO: But seriously, I think the cameras will use artificial intelligence to quickly identify the casino’s rule-breaker by their face.

Yeah, using a Fox disguise would be a perfect blend :ROFLMAO:.
But let's forget about AI and any other technology, what about a long time ago?

I believe that casino representatives always checked whether a player was on the blacklist when cashing out chips for cash. This is assuming that player identification had not already happened earlier in the process, specifically during the game. :geek:

Checking them out at the cashier window! I never thought of that.

Yes, I think that makes sense, since not every player can beat the casino. Although it depends on what kind of blacklist we’re talking about. For example, if we’re talking about players who have somehow won a lot of money at the casino, the management will try to identify them before starting the game. But if the blacklist includes players who ended up there for a different reason (for example, fighting with other visitors or security guards) then management might allow them to play, and then refuse to pay out at the cashier’s desk if they win.

OMG! That would be the worst thing to happen 😂.
But honestly, it would be well deserved too. If I'm banned, why would I go there in the 1st place. Since we're talking before AI, there are plenty of other casinos I can go to.

This is so scummy and I think it's even official policy in some places especially with gambling addicts. They allow them to play but when they win big they go "Since you are gambling addict, we have legal obligation not to pay you". Probably something so sinister only happens in movies... I hope so at least.

Yeah, you said it. Probably in movies, but in reality, they have to pay. Of course, they would use several tactics to keep the winner in hoping that he'll gamble his winnings away, but that's as far as they can go. Don't forget that they are always worried about their reputation too. There's a lot of competition out there.

This is just my assumption that it might happen at certain establishments (perhaps places that don't have an official license, for example). But yes, I completely agree with you that it's unfair to the players.
