This is just my assumption that it might happen at certain establishments (perhaps places that don't have an official license, for example). But yes, I completely agree with you that it's unfair to the players.

And even if a licensed place does it, it won't keep the money. They would probably only pay it in presence of some family members or put some restrictions on it. There's no way they would just keep it, it would be a robbery.

I think fraudsters are now well aware that they can be identified very quickly, so I reckon most of them won’t take the risk of going to places where they might be caught. I think that, in most cases, fraudsters have now moved online.

That's all true. But what about 40 or 50 years ago? Before today's technology?
How do you think casinos dealt with that issue then?
