The only thing that makes poker be profitable for some people, is that we play against each others, but, for example, if I was playing against GGPoker or PokerStars, I would be loosing everytime, because they would create rules to favor themselves (they, actually, secretly do something like this when they put abusive rakes in their sites, anyway; but, clearly, is not the same as you playing a roulette or a slot game, for example).
