Casino Providers: Can the Same Game Have Different RTP?

I was wondering about that recently. Can the same casino game have different RTP depending on the casino?

I did a little research and found some interesting bits of information regarding blackjack RTP. Pragmatic Play’sPrivé Lounge Blackjack variant can reach up to a hefty 99.51%, while NetEnt’s Perfect Blackjack has 99.5% RTP with perfect strategy. Evolution Gaming has a handful of blackjack variations as well. So there is more to it than just the developer’s name.

Have you guys done a comparison between different RTPs of the same game on different casinos?

99.51 could also be rounded down to 99.5. And since we don't know more, well...

No, I am more of a pick and choose what platform, what game I like. My assumption would be that different platforms have different RTP's.

That’s true, 99.51% and 99.5% are basically the same once you round it. The exact details would be interesting though.

That’s pretty much how I see it too. I’d rather compare the platform and game first instead of assuming every version is identical.

Interesting question but to be honest I don't care too much about RTP. When I play casino then I just play the same slotsvall over anyway.

I get that. If you already have a slot you like, I can see why RTP isn't something you'd worry about too much.
 
Yes, different casino can and do offer the same games but at different RTPs.

I get that people pick a game they like and play it but you can have best of both worlds by doing a bit of research, play the games you like at the best RTPs by shopping around the casinos.

A few percentage points of RTP can make a massive difference, they can allow you to play longer for less and increase the chance of hitting a big win during your session.

*I'm talking about online casinos here (as I don't have extensive experience of brick and mortar casinos to say for definite - but I bet it would be it is the same there)

That makes sense. If the same game is available elsewhere with better RTP, spending a few minutes comparing seems worth it.

Exactly, online casinos can have different RTP settings for the same game, so it’s worth checking before playing.
 
I haven't conducted such an analysis or made a comparison, but I assume this figure might vary across different establishments or websites. The difference shouldn't be huge, but in all likelihood, it will exist.

same here, I’d expect some difference between platforms, even if it’s pretty small in most cases
