Unfortunately, I never had any experience with any regrettable nor laughable tip.
As to your 2nd inquiry, I just think that they're all BS, at least when it comes to slots, roulette or any kind of wheel spinning.

I think any advice on slots is a myth, since everything in slots relies on luck. It either works or it doesn't.

I once remember the myth that slots from NetEnt fill up well after midnight. I waited 2 a.m., and then I would start playing, sometimes even getting up. I jumped on slots, caught bonus games and slept normally! Of course I now understand it was just a coincidence, a myth I believed in.

I have never believed in superstitions. I always told people who gave me unbelievable advice that it was all nonsense. I don't have any amulets, and I don't use talismans. The only thing I need for the game is money.

People think that slots near the restaurants or the entrance payout more, but the same kind of machines with the same denomination in the same casino - pay out the same.
 
The “hot after midnight” myth is a funny one. I’ve heard similar things about certain machines being better at specific times, but never really believed them.
