Before anything else, I want to make something very clear: this post is not casino advertising, nor is it intended to encourage anyone to play casino games.

Quite the opposite.

If there is one thing I don’t want anyone to take from this story, it is the idea that a casino can be a way out of financial problems.

What happened to me was an extraordinary and highly unusual event. It was not a strategy, not proof that persistence pays off, and certainly not something anyone should expect to reproduce.

To explain why this means so much to me, I need to give some context.

I’m a doctor, and the casino wasn’t where my problems started.

By the time casino gambling became part of my life, I had already gone through one of the most difficult periods I had ever experienced. I had dealt with another addiction, the end of a relationship that meant a great deal to me, professional instability, financial problems, and projects outside medicine that consumed far more of me than they ever returned.

Somewhere after all of that, the casino became a refuge.

For a few hours, it could quiet a void that had been there for a long time.

As doctors, we’re almost expected to perform all the time. To stay composed, make decisions, take responsibility for other people, keep working and keep functioning regardless of what may be happening inside us.

But very few people talk about the cost of maintaining that performance when other parts of your life are falling apart.

The casino gave me temporary relief from that

And that’s precisely what made it dangerous for me.

It could relieve an acute pain for a few hours while quietly damaging almost everything I needed to actually rebuild my life: my savings, my cash flow, my liquidity, my independence, my time, and eventually the quality of my decisions.

I also want to be careful not to project my experience onto everyone who plays casino games.

There are all kinds of people in this community. Some play recreationally and maintain a completely different relationship with casino gambling than the one I developed.

I’m not here to judge anyone or tell anyone what their relationship with the casino should be.

I can only describe what it became for me.
At some point, it wasn’t really about the money anymore.

It was about escaping for a few hours from a life I didn’t know how to sit with.

Andevery time those few hours ended, the problems were still there — except that sometimes I came back with less money, less time and fewer options to deal with them.

Financially, I eventually reached a very difficult place.

The casino wasn’t the only reason I got there, and I don’t want to rewrite my own history pretending that it was. There were other decisions, other problems and other circumstances involved.

But casino gambling absolutely made an already fragile situation worse.

And then something happened that I still have difficulty processing.

I hit a jackpot.

And I wish I could say that I immediately understood what had just happened, stopped playing and walked away.

I didn’t.

I kept playing.

And, in what can only be described as an absurd sequence of events, I kept winning.

By the end of it, I had turned that night into approximately $48,000.

I need to be very careful with what I say next, because a screenshot of a $48,000 balance can communicate the exact opposite of everything I’ve written above.

Please don’t use my result as evidence that continuing eventually pays off. It doesn’t.

What happened to me was exceptional, not a strategy.

Continuing to play after the first jackpot was a risk. The fact that, this time, the outcome went overwhelmingly in my favor doesn’t suddenly make that decision a good one.

And strangely enough, that’s what makes this moment so important to me.

Because for the first time, I don’t look at that balance and think about what the next spin could turn it into.

I look at it and see an exit.

I’m Brazilian. So $48,000 isn’t just a large number on a casino balance to me. In my reality, it represents roughly a quarter of a million Brazilian reais before taxes, conversion costs and other applicable deductions. (Como mostra a conversão do print)

That’s enough to change my financial reality.

Enough to recover almost all of the financial damage this chapter caused me.

Enough to regain liquidity and independence.

Enough to stop trying to solve yesterday’s problems with tomorrow’s money.

And enough to give myself something I haven’t had in a long time:

room to rebuild.

The jackpot doesn’t erase what the casino cost me.

Money can’t give me back the time. It can’t undo decisions. It can’t restore the hours I spent escaping instead of dealing with what I was trying to escape from.

But financially, in an extraordinarily unlikely turn of events, it gives me the opportunity to recover almost everything the casino took from me.

And there is something almost poetic about that.

The casino entered my life as a door I opened when I needed somewhere to escape.

For a few hours at a time, I walked through that door looking for relief.

Eventually, I realized how much it was costing me every time I came back through it.

And now, through an outcome so unlikely that, as a person of faith, I can’t help but personally see something almost miraculous in its timing, that same door has become my way out.

I know how rare that is.

Most people who develop a destructive relationship with casino gambling will never receive an ending like this. That’s precisely why I refuse to turn my exception into a reason for somebody else to keep playing.

And it’s also why I refuse to waste mine.

No last spin.

No attempt to make $48,000 become $60,000.

No convincing myself that I’ve somehow figured the casino out.

I’m done.

The same door I once opened looking for a few hours of relief is the door I’m now choosing to close behind me permanently.

The casino doesn’t get another dollar from this story.

It ends here.

And after everything that happened, I realize how unbelievably lucky I am to even be able to write the ending this way.

So yeah…

I got incredibly ****ing lucky.

I get to close this chapter saying:

I ****ing hit almost $50,000.

And I’m walking away.

I am glad you are making the decision that is right for you, it seems like casino games were a problem and now they turned into the solution.

Most people would think they were good at games where the house has the edge and try to run it up only to lose it all and more.

Now, the most important thing is to clearly grasp what has happened and not lose what you have gained.

This is AWESOME story! This is how you gamble correctly, win once and then never ever play ever again (of course you did prolonged playing but still counts). Only story that beats this is where there is no story, where someone never ever plays degenerate casino games.

You sir, are a hero!

That's the best sentence in your amazing story, doctor 🤪. And that's why I'm congratulating you, not for the win.
I hope your life takes a positive turn from now on.

PS: I have an account with RedStar that I never use. Could you let us know if you were able to get your winnings please?

Without a doubt. Once such a significant amount derived from earnings without specific effort enters your account, it seems to become video game coins, and therein lies the danger

I sincerely thank you for the message, and yes the greatest respect to RedStar, who correctly effected all the winnings received, without any tricks or anything like that. The only points that made the withdrawal more time-consuming and bureaucratic are related to security issues and platform limits:
- They requested a double-sided photo of my ID
- A photo holding that same document next to the open platform on my computer with the gains visible
- A proof of address

After verifying the account and earnings, it took approximately 6-8 hours for the first effective withdrawal, in the amount of $3000 dollars made through Luxonpay (the same platform that I had already deposited before). So since Luxon was actually the first successful withdrawal, I didn't try to risk other ways, opting for 10-13 withdrawals of 3000 dollars (maximum platform limit)

honestly, walking away after a win like that takes more discipline than chasing another big score

Congratulations. That's the goal for gamblers, to hit that Jackpot just one time! Not everyone will be lucky so just risk what u can afford to loose.

Yes very true and it will be very tempting to not resist in the near future after such a big win. Lets hope he will stay strong.
