I dont know about other places, but casinos in morocco have the stricest rule about filming, i got once kicked out because i was on a video call with a friend showing him my winnings so far.
they also tell you no phone calls inside, if you want to talk on the phone go outside.
Why is it that strict in general ? i think its a morocco thing.
because i have seen alot of content of people inside casinos filming their winnings and playing hands even live streaming. or is it sponsored ?

Each casino may have its own rules. I think there are those where filming is not prohibited, because each such video can essentially be an element of popularization and promotion of the institution. But at the same time, there are institutions where filming is prohibited because private individuals who would not want to be in such videos may get into the frame. I would prefer those casinos where filming is prohibited.

If it was up to me I wouldn't allow any players to have electronic devices at the poker table . So no to talking , filming , notes , charts etc . It's way too easy to get an edge of some kind .

I wouldn't want anyone filming me while I'm playing. And I wouldn't want anyone filming next to me. I think the casino administration is right to prohibit video recording.

I didn't think about it. I've never filmed anything in a casino, there was no need for that. But I'm not sure if it's possible to do it in our local casinos in Ukraine. Apparently it's possible, if you ask permission from the administration first.

I have seen this go both ways from no phones to players using a solver at the table on their phone.

I think if you want to film for the sake of content, for the sake of your content, then you first need to discuss it with the administration of the establishment. But if you are a famous blogger, then it is quite possible that the administration will not object because it is a kind of advertisement for this establishment.

Privacy in a casino plays a very important role for visitors to the establishment. It is not surprising that filming may be prohibited.

I think it's quite logical that filming is prohibited in casinos. Filming people spending money there is at least not very ethical. I would definitely be against someone filming next to me.

Most casinos have strict rules in that regards. Here in Austria you can't film at all. You are not allowed to be on the phone as long as you're in a hand.
You can't even place your phone on the table.

Why is it that strict in general ?
Fraud prevention and privacy for customers
( because you can also film with a cell phone. You could e.g pretend to call someone when in reality you are filming him playing :) )

Definetly not a Morocco thing, it's a Casino thing :)

People who stream or show content from casinos have media clearance. It's the casinos decision to grant such a clearance or not.
Usually only people who are famous or at least famous in the gambling scene get one.
For example Daniel Negreanu or Martin Kabrhel at the wsop right now.

I don't know why, but I did use my phone in a Moroccan casino many times, just answered or made a call, no filming. No one said anything.
Just got away with it?

In general it's not supposed to happen at all,no photos or video recording in casinos but people have started losening up a bit . Basically there are people who wouldn't want it out there that they gamble due to their jobs or religious beliefs etc but I understand they would allow you to take a picture of a jackpot win or royal flush or such

Videos where people broadcast their game are obviously made with the consent of the establishment's administration. In the few casinos I've been to, I think they would also be against filming. To some extent, such filming violates the privacy of other players.
