Overall, I'd say most casino players are not profitable in the long run because casino games are designed with a house edge. You can certainly have winning sessions, weeks, or even months, but consistently beating the casino over a large sample is very difficult.
That's why I tend to view casino games as entertainment rather than a source of income. If I come out ahead, that's a bonus. If not, I want to make sure I only risked an amount I was comfortable losing.

You are right. Playing for fun is probably the most correct thing a player can do. Illusions should be left in the past.

I've already earned a few crumbs, nothing significant.

No, casino games are not profitable for me. But I compensate for these losses with poker winnings.

No, I'm not consistently profitable at casino games, and I think very few players are in the long run. Most casino games have a built-in house edge, so unless you're extremely lucky over a short period, the math is generally working against you.

That's one reason I prefer poker. In poker, your results depend much more on skill, discipline, and decision-making than on the house edge. At least there, you can develop an actual long-term advantage over weaker opponents.

I still enjoy casino games occasionally for entertainment, but I treat the money spent there as the cost of having fun, not as an investment or a reliable source of profit. If I happen to win, that's a bonus, but I never expect it.

If buying pieces of winning poker players who play live at casino's count, then yes I'm a long term winner.
