Ron!! I just watched that video. And you're right man! But it depends on the size of the available BR though.
Yes and the stakes you are willimg to play
Im leaming towards playing conservatively untill you are in the hot streak of wins thats when its best to increase your bet size. The aim is to play many rounds.

In blackjack, the smartest plays depend on your hand and the dealer’s up-card. Hit when your hand is weak, double when the odds favor you, and split when it maximizes your chances of beating the dealer. Following basic strategy reduces the house edge

Thanks for this detailed guide, Tammy!

Even for those of us who have played for a while, it’s easy to let "gut feelings" take over during a losing streak.
Seeing the math laid out like this is a great reality check.

A quick question on the "One card allowed" rule for Aces: In your experience, if you split Aces and pull another Ace, do most casinos allow you to "re-split" that third Ace? I’ve found that rule varies wildly between online platforms and live tables, and it can really change the house edge.

I plan to play blackjack this weekend. I reread this article and hope I’ll be able to put what I’ve learned into practice. I think that with this new knowledge, I’ll have a good chance of playing well after all :)

It's very simple (math)...without counting cards! :D

If you have A8 - you have a soft 19, you have in long run winning hand, you gonna stand 10 of the 10 times...

If you have A7, which is 18 in long run a losing hand you gonna hit more time than you stand, not it depends of the dealers cards - if you have A7 and the dealer have 7 or an 8, you're going to stand - if the dealer has 9 or a 10 - you're gonna hit... ;)

If dealer has 6, 5 or 4 you're going to double; if dealer has 3 or 2 you're going to hit od double -even decision you make is correct if you feel it or want to be aggressive (double those) - so, hit or double it! 😇

I've always played blackjack pretty well, but I've also always avoided splitting bets, thinking that it could only hurt. Now I realize that I wasn't taking advantage of the obvious advantages. Thanks for the new knowledge.

Some key given advice that you need to follow is knowing the payouts for splitting aces (full blackjack ?) and whether you can hit again . It may change your strategy !

The part about splitting was especially helpful for me. I now have a much better understanding of the specifics of this aspect of blackjack. Thank you.

All you need to do is play disciplined, follow a strategy, and hope for luck. I think this will allow you to achieve pretty good results in the long run.

The best move always depends on the dealer's upcard.
As a rule of thumb, always split Aces and 8s, but never split 5s or 10s.
Double down when you have a hard 10 or 11 against a weak dealer card (2-6), and never risk hitting a hard 12-16 if the dealer is showing a bust card like a 4, 5, or 6.
Stick to the basic strategy!

I learned a lot of interesting things. Thank you very much for the new and useful knowledge. I think such learning series are exactly what most players lack.

I played this game a few times, but I had a tactic, up to 16 points I asked for another card, the more I stopped.
