There is no system invented yet to win at the casino. Set aside some money and play for fun, not for profit. Of course, if you win a jackpot, I don't think you will refuse it.

I wouldn't call this strategy a trap. It's a strategy that can be a trap, but it can also be quite working, if you, for example, set a limit for yourself on the game.

Yes you are definitely right the Martingale system is a real trap for new players because the casino always wins in the long run. If you are lucky in the beginning it turns out that you can easily win but you can always get stuck in a series of bad streaks and even if you have the funds the roulette limit will ruin you. For me the best thing is what you said to stop when you are in profit.
So I am coming to conclusion that if you are after profit - make 2 - 3 bets and if luck is on your side - RUN :p

If you are after enjoyment of playing - must be aware that it comes at a price of casino's edge :)

I don't know, I'm no expert, but I feel like employing this strategy with games where the house has an edge (basically all casino games), especially those games based purely on luck, is a really bad idea. Sure you might get lucky a few times, and boost your positivity bias enough to keep trying it and chasing that win, but in the end I feel like it's just a great way to fast track losing your bankroll. Now - if you have a system and starting bet amounts where doubling those won't break you, then maybe go for it. But overall I think this system is something most (if not all) newbies or recreational players should just steer clear of.

Maaan, this happens once every ~4,096 spins on average and even starting with 1$ you lose $4,095 in such streak... - was it in real casino or virtual?

This strategy will be profitable for you if the casino you play in is owned by you personally.

Yeah i mean this strategy can only work in the long run if we can bet infinite amounts and new players maybe get caught up in it thinking it could work.

This strategy will definitely lead to losing your bankroll. Is this the best option for losing your bankroll?
I don't know :)
