Do you suggest to split 10's?

I am trying to play according to the strategy you described, but so far the results are not very good. Sticking to the strategy turned out to be much harder than I thought. Perhaps I just lack experience, but despite this, I will continue working in this direction. Thank you for the useful information :)

Basic blackjack strategy isn't about intuition, but pure statistics. Every decision (hit, stand, double, split) is calculated based on the long-term probability of winning or losing. For example, while hitting with a 16 against the dealer's 10 seems risky, mathematically it's better than standing because the expected value is less negative.

YES! A dealer drove this point home to me. He said, "If you are going to hit 16, you need to always do it " (when the math dictates that you should).

I enjoyed reading the post. I think I play basic strategy well, but it was cool to see the actual odds.
I was thinking about putting $5 on the side bet for 7's because the payout for three 7s of diamonds was $130,000
I know the odds are very high, but man, that's a lot of cash lol. You also get paid something for 1-3 7's, but I was wondering what the odds for those were.
Blackjack is about the math, but is it worth it to go with it a few times here and there, knowing I can still come out on top
from a proper basic strategy?

Its pretty easy if you do any work with a BJ chart. They are free online and you can input how many decks etc.

I'm of the same mind. And I have seen those bonus bets hit numerous times (I've gotten them, though, not $130,000... 😥 ). If you're rolled for it, and you know the risk/reward, but still want to gamble a bit, I don't see a problem with it myself.

The issue with blackjack is that the house edge is still around 0.5%. So in the long run, you’ll always end up losing to the house.
And if you don't make the perfect play you will loose faster.
But it’s still one of the best games in terms of house edge for the player.

One thing perhaps often overlooked in Blackjack strategy is when playing live in most casinos you are playing with a 6 deck shoe, however, when playing on line you are playing with an unlimited shoe, that is the cards at the end of the hand go back into the shoe therefore an unending number of face cards, aces etc.

Blackjack is a good option if you’re short on time. Even 15–20 minutes is quite enough to play 15–20 hands. I’ve already played more than 10 such sessions over the last two months. All in all, I reckon I’ve played at least 200–250 hands, and I have to say that I’m actually a few dollars up, thanks to the new knowledge I’ve gained. Thanks, CardsChat – I’m gradually learning how to make money :)
