Talk it up, guys! 🎰

Have you ever entered the casino thinking: “I'm only going to stay about 30 minutes” ...

And when you know it, has it been an hour, two, or even more?

It's already happened to me.

The most curious thing is that while we are playing, it seems that time simply disappears. It's one round, another, you change the game, you win a little, you lose a little... and the clock goes away.

And those days I was thinking about one thing:

We tend to look a lot at how much won or lost, but we hardly ever think about how much time spent there.

And time is something you can't recover.

Lost money may return. An hour has passed, no.

I'm not saying that gaming is bad. For me, it's part of the entertainment. But I think it's also interesting to think about that side that almost never appears when we talk about casinos.

Sometimes the true “cost” of fun isn't just in the account balance.

It's on the watch.

And you, have you completely lost track of time playing? Or can they look at the clock and say, “That's enough, that's enough”? 😂

I want to know your stories.

Nope. The nearest casino is about 90 minutes away. So I'm not going to make that trip only to spend 30 minutes there 🤣

But I get what you are saying. Time IS our most precious commodity. That almost makes one think about the hours we spend here 🙄

If I were rich I would certainly try to buy some.

Yes, I’d go into the casino thinking I’d only stay for 20 minutes because ‘I’ve only got 10 dollars’, and it was at precisely those moments that I’d start winning and end up playing for several hours.

Definitely, time can disappear in a casino. 😂 I think setting a time limit before you start is just as important as setting a money limit, because it’s easy to keep saying “one more round” when you’re having fun.

The classic problem (unfortunately): money = time = life
It’s a deeply philosophical question, but everyone has to decide for themselves what they want to spend their time on in life.
And here’s another question: which is “worse”—spending a lot of time sitting in a casino or scrolling through pointless TikTok videos for hours on end? But that raises a whole bunch of other questions, so I’m not going to waste any more time on this right now... 🙂

I remember playing blackjack with friends and started towards the end of a dealers shift and were still playing when he got back for his shift the next day.

They comped us pretty well for watching march madness and playing blackjack.

Well doing things we like costs us time and that's not exactly rocket science. It's with everything you do and not only when you go to the casino.
