The book “Basic gambling Mathematics: The Numbers Behind the Neon” by Mark Bollman caught my eye recently, and since I have an interest in the mathematics of casino games, I began flipping through it.

The topics that it covers include probability, odds, expected value and house advantage; all quite intriguing topics. However, some of the chapters might require a bit more knowledge of mathematics on your part.

Have any of you guys read it? Was it helpful for you? Did you gain any new insights into gambling from reading the book?

I haven’t read the book you’re talking about, and I’ve never heard of it before. It sounds interesting – thank you for bringing it to my attention. For my part, I can also recommend a good book which, in my opinion, every poker player should read.
"The Mental Game of Poker" by Jared Tendler.
