people who bring luck charms to the table... why 😭

i have seen some online footage of people like this, a guy who had like 4 different little plastic frog statues lined up on the blackjack . every time he got a good hand he would literally tap them on the head xD
do y all actually bring lucky items with u or do u find it cringe when people do this? like bro the cards don't care about your plastic frog 💀

I think it has to do with superstition more than anything else.

In 2007, Jerry Yang won the wsop Main Event, I've never heard of him till I watched that whole FT.

He had a picture of his daughter in front of him and every time he was all in, he would hold it very emotionally and start looking up and saying "Please let me win, please let me win".
Well, he ended up winning that time. In the last hand, he had 88 or 77 if I remember correctly, and he was going nuts with his "Please let me win", almost crying, and it held.

But the question I've always asked myself afterwards is: "Why didn't he win again?".

The cards didn't even know he had a frog, but he did, and that's what matters. I think something you can dream will bring you luck is cool, no matter what it is. Mine is a CC card protector

Most of them played terribly, but just got lucky; they got it in behind and sucked out over and over, having something
to pray to or call upon is just positive thinking in my opinion

Calling upon "something" you don't even know and about which you have no idea is another.

All these superstitions are nonsense. People just want to shift the responsibility for their game and for their result onto some object or circumstance, and in my opinion it looks quite funny
