The Real Odds of Roulette: How Betting Styles Change the Game

roulette is definitely the most popular and fun casino game. My friends and I used to play online together often to test our luck. We mostly bet on red/black and even/odd. We also made it a challenge to guess the zero or our favorite numbers. We were actually quite successful at it—I even had my access to the 888 casino temporarily restricted because we turned out to be such a lucky bunch. Overall, this is a very useful post; I never fully understood the mathematical side of roulette before, but now I’ll have a better grasp of it.

I had no idea there were so many different ways to bet, I really learned something today. My son had a coworker that went on a cruise
and my son gave him $10 and told him to put it on #32 and then didn't think about it again, his friend came back and handed him several
hundred dollars !!! Yes, it hit and his friend recorded it on his phone but they made him stop recording when they noticed him recording.
My son will never forget it !

I think the biggest takeaway is that betting systems change variance, not the house edge. If I were playing, I’d choose European roulette and set a strict loss limit beforehand rather than chasing losses with bigger bets.
