In 2015, Min, a robot dealer, was introduced:

I don't know what happened to Min, since she was introduced in 2015...

Yeah, dealing with “these things” that are increasingly taking the place of human beings—that’s nothing new! Look at this one making drinks:

I think it would be better if the dealer looked like some kind of cartoon character, like SpongeBob, or some kind of Smurf. If they look like the photos you posted, they will scare away customers rather than interest them.

I know one casino that often plays Sortjack. It's a special game that requires a special deck.To better shuffle decks for the game, the casino acquired a dedicated robot dealer. It can shuffle a deck: take a deck, split it exactly in half down the middle, and then arrange the cards in the deck "every other card" starting with the second half.To cover the costs of the robot, the casino decided to sell some of its decks. Decks are traditionally offered for sale sorted by card number return. However, decks can be so large that no live dealer could handle sorting them.

Min, this would be actually my dream woman. What happened to her? The guy standing next to her probably knows, he looks suspicious.

They can improve robots too much, this is fact, but there are also ethical issues. I would not like to see a replacement of man kind from machines. We must be human and communicate each other.

Color me skeptical, they already have digital tables, and on some digital tables there is still a dealer.

They found that people liked talking to the dealer and played longer than if it the table was set to autodeal.

Some people like to blame the dealer and others think specific dealers are good luck.

My casino played with electronic tables and no dealer, but still gave it up and put in slot machines.
But for blackjack, they had a video of a beautiful female dealer, no idea if she was real or not. That was before I ever heard of AI or robots.
They still play craps with a video dealer and the dice in a bubble with a thing that throws them inside it.
I don't trust anything but the real deal, including online. (unless I'm winniong lol )

The obsession with humanoid robots has always been odd to me. I don't see why something more purpose built but transparent wouldn't be more desirable. Imagine a card shuffling robot that you could see into that would launch the cards out to each person with a spinner like a baseball pitch but much softer or something that could reach across the table or put it on a conveyor.

It feels like there would be so many more efficient ways to do it.

Is it because the casinos still want people to tip the 'dealer'?

If I had such an android at home, I would teach it to clean the apartment.
I don't think such "robots" are needed at all. Everything can be done as long as the system works automatically without the presence of cyborgs :)

I think robots in a casino would have a negative impact on its income. There would definitely be fewer visitors. I don't think casinos would ever decide to employ robots, I don't think it's in their best interests.

Yeah, just imagine all those people losing their jobs... But it seems like we're moving toward even more automation! Good luck to you!

Yeah, this is actually a really interesting topic right now—because it’s no longer theoretical. Automation is already creeping onto casino floors.

I think the most such "machines" can do is vacuum the apartment or wash the windows. I wouldn't trust them with anything else.
