Roulette: Do you prefer Inside Bets or Outside Bets?

Inside bets can be exciting because of the bigger payouts, while outside bets feel a little more comfortable with their higher hit frequency. I’ve always wondered which style players stick with most.

Which one do you prefer?

My favourite options are eighteen, even or odd, red or black. I also bet on zero, and possibly on groups of numbers.

I’m more of an outside-bet guy too. Red or black feels simple, but I’ll throw in a number bet sometimes.

Honestly, that’s probably the safest way to look at it. I still end up playing sometimes, even knowing the house has the edge.
 
I like betting on numbers—specifically 10, 20, and 30 - those are my favorite bets. And zero, of course 🙂

10, 20 and 30 is a pretty interesting combo. Zero has to sneak in there too, I guess.

roulette will always send you outside feeling uncomfortable!

I bet on higher hit frequency bet choices , at least lately , because in the| past I liked the bigger payout [ choices , but unfortunately these come rarely and I am not so lucky .
 
That’s a pretty solid mix. I usually lean toward red or black too, but betting zero now and then is kinda tempting.

I get that. Bigger payouts are tempting, but when they barely hit it gets frustrating pretty quick.

If I decide to play roulette, I place just a few bets and then stop—no more than three to five. I place only outside bets. Roulette quite often helps me recoup losses from slots.

That sounds pretty disciplined. I like the three to five bet limit, although I wouldn’t wanna chase slot losses with roulette.

I'm no roulette expert, but the few times I ventured near one, I only made a couple of bets on Red/Black or Even/Odd for the reasons you've pointed out yourself.

Same here, if I’m only making a couple bets I’d probably stick with red or black too. Feels simple enough.

And easy too 🤪.
But I have to add that when we had the casino monthly competitions here, I've discovered that the inside bets can be very lucrative too if you use certain tricks, like making multi-bets on corners or intersections (The bets were free though 😜).

Yeah, with free bets I can see why you’d mess around with corners and intersections. That sounds pretty fun.

Since I'm poker background...I naturally lean toward outside bets for the higher win frequency. Inside bets are way too high variance for my taste.. though it is very fun to throw a dollar on a single number once in a while

I get that. Outside bets feel a lot more comfortable, but throwing a dollar on one number every now and then is fun too.

Exactly. For me it's all about keeping it fun without losing control. Do u usually pick your birth date or just random numbers when u do that?

I've been playing at online casinos every day lately, but only roulette. I bet on red/black, even/odd, and high/low numbers. I like the thrill I get while playing, and roulette has a calming effect on me at the same time. 🙂

Usually random numbers for me. Birth dates feel a little too predictable, so I’d rather just pick one and see what happens.

I get that. Red or black and even or odd are pretty easy to follow, and I can see how the game feels relaxing too.
