Some slots celebrate even a decent win with huge animations, sounds and flashing numbers. It can make the win feel much bigger than it actually is.

Do you enjoy those effects or prefer a quieter game?

I like almost anything, provided it’s somehow linked to my win 🙂
I don’t mind sound effects or flashing lights—I’d even do a little dance myself—but, of course, it all depends on the size of the win.

Newzooozooo, haha, I’m with you there 😂 If the win is big enough, I don’t think anyone complains about a little flashing and noise.

It’s all part of the show designed to make you want to celebrate and keep betting, and the visual and auditory stimuli affect most people. When I used to gamble, I confess that the sounds and images affected my willingness to bet, and I often turned off the sound because they were too loud...

The effects can definitely make a slot more entertaining, especially when they come with a big win or a max win.... 😍

But getting all those exciting animations only to end up with nothing is pretty disappointing.... 😢

I can relate to that. Sometimes those sounds and animations definitely make you wanna keep spinning, so I usually keep the sound low.

Exactly, that’s the annoying part. Getting a big celebration for a tiny win can be kinda disappointing.

It's better a dlot game to have big cool animations on big wins , it's sth I always like to see . It's more entertaining that way . Of course most important is the winnings , how much you won .

haha I like that 😂 if the win is big enough, I don’t mind the lights and sounds either

I don’t pay any attention to visual effects. The only thing that impresses me is the figures, and my choices and decisions will depend solely on them.

That makes sense. I’m kinda the same, the numbers matter way more to me than all the flashy stuff.

I think the flashier the better, but for who? I'm sure you know the answer to that.

😂 fair point, the casino probably loves those flashy effects more than we do.

Yes <3 it gives me dopamine and I love when the piggies get bigger then pop! Woot woot 🙂 (I really do not play often but do love the animations and song )

For me personally it doesn't make any difference but i can definitely imagine that this can animate weak minded people to invest more.

It seems like every slot machine has animation these days,To me, that kind of kills the whole thrill of slot machines—after all, I’m looking at the reels and searching for winning combinations. Now, I just zone out and don't even engage with the machine unless I see an animation before the spin. It also defeats the purpose of bonus game teasers: when you land two of the necessary symbols, the lack of a big-win animation means the bonus either never triggers or, if it does, it’s a letdown.

I only play slots live and do enjoy the sounds. I much preferred the days when the sound was that of coins pouring into the trough. However aside from some machines at Circus Circus, Slots-O-Fun, and maybe a few other places, that sound is a thing of the past. The simulated sound is sort of okay, but it isn't the same. 🙁

I like these effects. Without them, slots would be pretty boring and I think most players wouldn't be interested in them.

oh yeah, the sound of those coins hitting the tray must’ve been way more satisfying than the fake sounds they use now 😂

Real coins dropping into the slot was music decades ago .... and you probably got a better percentage return back then as well . True bargains are few and far between at all the casinos I've been to lately .

for sure, those real coins must’ve made a win feel way more satisfying. I kinda miss that old-school casino vibe too

Just like they do today, the casinos wanted to increase the noise so the troughs were loosely mounted to the machines. 🙂 When you were ready to leave with your winnings, you scooped them up and dumped them into your ploppy bucket. 🙂
