From my experience and what I know so far, cashing $10K or more in a live casino is subject to taxation in the USA (At least).
But don't the government know that people can easily avoid paying that tax by dividing their money and cashing it in parts?
I'm talking about winnings at table games, it could be several tables, so the casino cannot track them.
(Winning a poker tournament is another story, a different topic).
