Coming from South Asia, Teen Patti is not a novelty to me. It's a game that I learned as a child, and one that has been played by generations of South Asians for years. But, I hardly see westerners talking about it.

Have you ever tried playing it?

Interesting but unfortunately no, i have never heard of this game. But t to be honest it almost sounds a bit like someone who offers certain services lol.

Teen patti means literally 3 cards
It can be 3 card poker or punto banco
I think...

haha the name definitely sounds a little wild if you’ve never heard of it, but it’s a pretty common game here

yeah the name literally means three cards, but the actual game is quite different from punto banco

In 2010, a Bollywood film of the same name was released, sparking global interest in the game and leading to its appearance online.Unfortunately, it is very difficult to classify this game as poker. The entire skill element boils down to attempts to "out-bluff" the opponent; the amount of information is minimal, and there are no community cards.

that’s a fair take, the lack of community cards definitely makes it feel pretty different from regular poker.
Specially the blind raise and the Seen raise make it more out-bluff

There used to be a poker App by the same name and I played on it for a while.

No, I’ve never heard of that game and haven’t played it.
But we have a similar popular game in Ukraine called Seka.

I’ve never played Seka, but now I’m kinda curious how similar it is to Teen Patti.
