Would it be possible to put an end to online and live casinos, given the growth of a large part of the population becoming addicted...??

No it obviously would not be possible. Every country has their own laws and regulations and the world as a whole will not suddenly stop or prohibit gambling.

Não, obviamente não seria possível. Cada país tem suas próprias leis e regulamentos, e o mundo como um todo não vai, de repente, parar ou proibir o jogo.
Okay 👍

Casinos could be banned at the legislative level. That would mean losing a significant portion of budget revenue. In that case, an underground market would rapidly develop. I do not think that is the right decision.

Os cassinos poderiam ser proibidos por lei. Isso significaria perder uma parcela significativa da receita orçamentária. Nesse caso, um mercado clandestino se desenvolveria rapidamente. Não acho que essa seja a decisão correta.
I also believe that.

I don’t think it’s realistic to completely get rid of casinos. There would probably always be people looking for some form of gambling.

Remember what the Americans tried to achieve with "The Prohibition" in the last century?

This lead to growing black markets and very strong organization of organized crime, that even operates today, other markets but same procedure.

So, in no way will prohibiting such things will stop them.

And remember in all legal casinos the state is the biggest winner, because of license fees and massive taxation.

Basicamente seria um tiro no pé.😅

Banning gambling is a poor way to combat addiction. It would be better to ban addiction itself. Pass a law and outlaw addiction. Ship all the addicts off to a deserted island.

Well no I don't think gambling should be banned because some people may have addiction issues,

human nature being what it is people may become addicted to a variety of things...

nor do I think human beings should be treated as criminals.... treatment is available👍

It wouldn't be very deserted anymore with all the addicts on it.

Maybe the island next to it could be where we put all the people who totally lack compassion??

I don't think shutting down casino operations in any country is a problem. The real issue will be underground establishments, which will be much harder to combat than regulating those that operate legally.

It is possible, but gambling behaviour will be redirected to similar activities. There is no way that all betting markets will be banned globally, so it would be pointless.
