When playing slot machines and a bonus is about to trigger, some give you the option to either wait for the bonus to land or stop the reels yourself. What do you recommend? Or do you think there’s no actual player intervention involved?

There’s no actual player intervention involved. The moment you hit spin, the Random Number Generator (RNG) instantly determines the outcome. Stopping the reels manually just skips the visual animation—it won't change whether the bonus lands or not, it only speeds up your gameplay!

100% illusion of control. as soon as you press spin, the server already knows if you hit the bonus or not. stopping it manually just cuts the animation short, doesn't actually affect the result. but honestly i still do it when im on a cold streak just to speed things up

I don't like auto spin and I also don't like stopping manually. Most likely it doesn't matter but I'm a fan of the conservative approach, one click - one spin 🙂
 
slots themselves are a game of chance. So, everything is designed so that chance should bring you money. So let everything happen as planned, that is, by chance.
 
i think that its sofisticated enough that it doesnt change anything.
 
I prefer to just click and let it spin. Whatever the result cannot be altered.

I don't think it makes any difference.
Once the spin starts, the outcome is already determined by the RNG.
Whether you stop the reels yourself or let them spin, the result is the same—it just comes down to personal preference.

It makes no difference, as stated by others above, and in other threads like this, as soon as you press the play button, the outcome is determined, nothing the player does will change the outcome.

What really works is if you hop on one leg three times before each spin. You can't lose if you do that.

I would advise you to do what your intuition tells you. But I definitely wouldn't advise you to listen to anyone.
 
They are obviously different choices, try them both for each slot and see the difference in the results, I think it is better to stop the spinning when you lkke!
 
I would say that it doesn't change anything: if the slot uses a random number generator, the result is already determined, and stopping the reels only speeds up the animation. I would wait for convenience, but not because it increases the odds of getting the bonus. 🎰
 
I think this does not matter, because we are getting to loose everything we spent at the end 🤣

I think it all depends on whether you trust your intuition in that moment. But I probably wouldn't interfere anyway, so as not to mess anything up 🙂
 
I think every spin outcome is decided before you even touch anything. So, no matter what you do, the result will be the same.
 
Keep stopping things to speed everything up . Your cash will probably vanish even faster that way !
 
I advise you to do what brings you joy. Personally, I enjoy playing in any case, so I will act depending on my mood and intuition.
 
This is probably what they use to keep many players at bay. I think this is just a trick they use to trick players in order to make more profit.
 
I don't think it matters. Do as you like, as you prefer. I don't stop anything in most cases.
 
the slower you spin the less you may lose in the long run , save your money by letting the machine spin till it stops.
 
I always let them stop normally. Once you hit spin, the RNG has already decided the result, so pressing stop is really just stopping the animation. When it looks like you stopped it right on the bonus, that’s just timing and luck, not player control. 😄

You can even spoiler yourself sometimes and you see the winnings in your account before the animation ended 😆
