so the local arcade near where I live gives out £10 matchplays every week. so you put in £10 to a slot and they match it. i went in and played my favourite game. i went on to win a jackpot, £500, and a further £300, so £800 in total. gonna put some money into pokerstars

Cool. Congratulations. You'll have a pretty good bankroll. And it's even cooler that the bankroll will be from the money you won on the slots. The main thing is to be disciplined and not lose more than your bankroll management allows you.

oh ive always done good BRM, hardly ever deposit
 
I don't recommend transferring to PokerStars, withdraw and spend it on New Year's, otherwise you'll lose everything.
 
Slots are profitable if you don't go crazy betting, you have to go with peace of mind or you'll lose everything

I also play slots, quite often, but unfortunately not very successfully. Poker brings me a profit, and slots are usually a loss for me. I think I need to stop spending money on slots that has no prospects.
You're lucky, and it's great that you decided to use the money you won in the right way 🙂
 
Congrats on the win. Slots are not often kind. I treat them as entertainment with a slim chance of a nice jackpot. My wife visit local casinos at least once a week and usually lose our set limit. Fun to come out ahead now and again. I take a photo of any win over $100 (Canadian) and am building a photo album - to remind myself that I sometimes get lucky.
