I would like some peoples opinion on this..

Holding QQ, I recall about 2 people limping in for $2, it gets to me and I raise to $6, the next guy after me raises to $12, the last guy raises to $32.

I've seen and played with those two for awhile and I had NO DOUBT in my mind that they both had pocket pair, kings and aces.. So I fold.

Even the dealer says.. what?? Who folded pocket queens?

When the flop comes, its rainbow with a Q in their, both guys go all in obviously.. but I KNEW I was beat preflop, so was that a good lay down or not?? :hmmmm: Maybe my table is full of stupids or I'm the stupid one? I was chip leader with almost $400, $100 max buy in.

Thanks for the help in advance.

PS: Oh also, the guy who raised to $32 had kings, the guy with aces won.

It was the right move you know how your 2 oponents plays and you put them on bigger pairs can't call that when you know you're behind, those other players are idiots you made a great read and better laydown.

im confused as to why ppl know your whole cards? does the dealer always shout out the "mucked" cards to the entire table?

Without any reads, a call with queens would be acceptable. The Q hitting the flop isn't important here, what is important is that you made a awesome lay-down because you had reads on your opponents holding the 2 next best hands to yours.

Very good fold. With Queens it's hard, but you can let them go in a situation like this. This really sucks for the guys with the Kings. At a cash game, I wouldn't fold those. One mis-read of someone having aces can cost you a big opportunity.

If you have history w them and know there's absolutely no way that they make those raises without KK+, or even if only the raiser to $32 doesn't do that without KK+, then yes it's a good laydown - unless they were also deepstacked (sounds like they're not), in which case seeing the flop might've been a good choice.

It was said after both players went all in, I was telling people I had queens and he was questioning it.

Yes, as everyone else said, with the three-bet and four-bet after you and your reads on the players, queens straight into the muck is the only sensible play. Well done.

you gotta iso the limpers way bigger. as played I suppose a fold is fine there, although who knows with live poker. if they're super nitty and u had a read tho then I guess its fine.

lol@dealers making comments. just ignore them, they're prob terrible players anyway

Unless the stacks were such that you had odds for a set, then very good fold.

Saying you know the players well and having them raise and re-raise your initial raise i would say QQ fold is great there! Just imagine if you would've limped in? Then you could of busted em both out! Oh well still a GREATfold

Definitely raise bigger, I'd raise to $25 minimum with QQ after limpers. There are definitely situations where you get it in pre with QQ but you had a good read and made a good laydown.

I think you made the right move. I've folded Aces when this type of betting is going on as if I put $32 with my luck, they would have trip 2's of sorts and beat my QQ. One of the two lost money, but you only lost $2.

Awesome laydown! I don't think I would have been so disciplined. I think, even knowing their tendencies, I would have called the raise, if only to see the flop. Would cost more however, huge upside.

I definately would never consider your move to be the move of an idiot. Good Laydown.

your whole table is stupid, 6 out of the 7 times you would of missed the queen and lost even more money by calling the pre flop raise.

The people at your table are idiots.

With the way people were betting/calling at this time, any preflop raises like that would only get callers with cards such as.. AA .. KK .. (thats pretty much it lol) which isn't what I want..

Pretty much the whole table folded by the time it got to me, that is very unsual for 1/2 NL live. Most of the time you get 5-7 in preflop.

Only time queens shouldnt be folded in this spot imo:

1. Crazy degen gamblers.
2. You only get 3 betted and not 4.

1. Gamblers gamble, meaning them 3 and 4 betting doesnt mean a big pocket pair.

2. If someone just 3 betted you even if you suspected that they really have a higher pocket pair, for 6 dollars more it is worth it to set mine and see a flop, if they had the same stack as you at 1/2 live you would have probably been able to get it in on the flop with them putting you on AQ or something.

Any other reasons not to fold?

What part of I knew I was beat and I been playing with them don't you understand? Everyone else here seems to understand.

I'm not there to gamble.
