2009 WSOP Main Event

Is the wsop Main Event this year going to have the same format of bringing the final table back in November to finish it?

I hope so, I surprisingly liked it last year when at first I didnt think I would.

I'm like 95% sure they are doing it again. Oh yeah I think I saw it in an interveiw, maybe one of Icemonkey's but yeah I am pretty sure the november 9 will be back.....

I can make it 100%. Yes, they are doing the November Nine thing again. I think you'll also see ESPN do more hands of heads up action since people kind of complained about that.

Yeah, that annoyed me. Apparently there was a sick play where Eastgate trapped Demidov with a flush that they didn't show.

Further WSOP 2009 info:

The WSOP Main Event 2009 will start July 3rd and run until July 15th.

The final table (or November Nine) will be played November 7th until November 10th 2009.

ESPN does need to show more heads up play...i recall hearing that eastgate and demidov had a really good heads up match but since they barely showed any of it i assumed it was over quickly.

Keeping it in November for the final table is good so they keep getting the great publicity and coverage.

Adding to the above, while they're supposed to be doing more detailed coverage of the tournaments they televise (things like more of the heads up at the end of the Main Event, I assume) they'll be doing it at the expense of the bracelet events - they'll be showing less of them that last year.

Which kinda sucks, because we only got to see four or five last year anyway. Anyone wanna set a line on how many events we'll get other than the $40K championship, the $50K HORSE and the Main Event?
