I really want Doyle to win. Alternatively Daniel or Scotty could win it and I'd be pretty happy just the same. But there'd be something so bittersweet and beautiful in Doyle's winning...

So I'm totally babysitting the updates page.

Anybody else really hoping Doyle wins it? You can hope for someone else of course, by all means share, but am I alone in rooting for Mr. Brunson?

For my fantasy team i have Negreanu, Bloch, and Ivey in the A bracket, Greenstein and Doyle in the C bracket so i am kinds rooting for my A guys.

Here's what I could find on Davis Raymond Davis - Poker Tournament Champion Ray Davis and he sounds like a first rate jerk to me...

Maybe he has changed since that article was written though.

$50K H.O.R.S.E. Results Have Serious Implications on POY Race
Four players that are still alive in the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event still have a shot at taking over the lead in the wsop Player of the Year race from Jacobo Fernandez-- Barry Greenstein, Daniel Negreanu, Erick Lindgren, and Andy Bloch. To take over the lead, Greenstein would need to finish at least 7th, Lindgren 6th, Negreanu 3rd, and Bloch would have to win the bracelet.

Still babysitting the computer...

Doyle Brunson Eliminated in 16th Place ($124,320)
Stud: Doyle Brunson (X-X)

(X) Phil Ivey (X-X)

(X) Barry Greenstein (X-X)

(X) Doyle Brunson was all in on third street against Barry Greenstein and Phil Ivey. Action continued on the side between Ivey and Greenstein, Ivey betting out on fourth streets and Greenstein calling him down, check-calling Greenstein's fifth and sixth street bets, and then leading out on seventh, Greenstein calling once more. Ivey had the winner-- a pair of kings with an ace kicker-- and both Greenstein and Brunson mucked. Texas Dolly's third $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. tournament was at an end, and he made his exit to an ovation from the rail.

Earlier he was doing fine but he made a move that didn't work out and it was pretty much downhill from there

Ivey's still in it, I'm not counting anyone out 'till they have 0 chips, but maybe that's just me

If you're asking about the POY race he's nowhere near the lead. He's not even on the first page. Sorry. It doesn't take away from him as a player, it's just that maybe this isn't his big year, at least for POY, but there's still the main event

I personally would like to see Daniel Negreanu win this thing. Earlier he said his goal this year would be to win POY, and a win here would certainly help

Also, in my opinion, he is the best limit player out there; but thats just my opinion.

This is a great event and it will be interesting to see how it turns out
