Fake story, proof: is not indicated in what room played , in which this such money room played for first place 500k what kind of event , and even if your account is registered to her relatives, as a support heard about it and how it got to journalists.

Yeah, appears to be a bogus story. The only believable part is that he didn't get his money!

Nor should he get his money (if the story were true), considering he's breaking laws and/or TOS of virtually every country and poker site by playing underage. If they made an exception in his case, then they'd have to make exceptions for every teenager who has done it and tried to cash out. And they don't.

Yeah I agree with dmorris, even if this was true I don't think he should/would get hi money. He is underage and playing on his uncles account, which are both against the TOS of any site, except maybe SWC (lol).
Remember the kid who was playing on his dad's account on Stars(ithink?) and won that huge amount, he was posting on Twitter or Facebook, as well as a forum when he was playing and after he won. I think he was only 16 or 17.

I'm sure an adult would be smart enough to claim the account and cash out the kid's winnings. An 8 year old is obviously not going to be able to claim them himself. As rotten as online cashouts can be, try attempting one as an 8 year old.

Obviously this is clearly against the TOS/ illegal, and he should not get the money because of this... That being said, why didn't his uncle just cashout the winnings if it was under his account?

What if, in India, there is no law against underage gambling?

I recall reading bout this story years ago,the site it apparently happened on was none other than Stars btw.

The kid was playing on his uncles account and he was autistic and was gifted/talented when it came to computers.

All I really recall was the families argument being that it was the uncles funds and if he so pleased to let his newphew play on his account it was his right a man to do so.

Btw if you're wondering the funds came from STT and I believe Dons.

As stated I read the actual article like 2+ years ago

i dont know how can they prove that the 8 year was playing if the account has one of the parents name, however in case that the kid had created an user with his own name, then thats ilegal and the poker site wont pay him his winnings.

And it was Stars' right to seize the account according to their TOS, because allowing anyone to play on your account is a strict violation.

Because he's banned.

Well, it'd be cool if the story were true. And if an 8 year old had that kind of talent he might have revenge in a mind that hasn't matured yet. He might hold in his heart much more than moving furniture on the blind. But I can't really bite into this one.
