So yes, I made my straight and I didn't have pot odds for that, but then again I could have hit either of my pairs and I would have won (my read was that he had an Ace but no pair (which was correct until the end).

So, does this count as a suckout if I didn't know if I had pot odds, but I wouldn't have pot odds just to hit the straight?

I consider a bad beat when you get in your money when its good but then lose. Perhaps if he went all in on the flop and you called and hit your straight on the river I would call a bad beat. In this case it looks to me like your just chasing like a mad man to those giant bets with the blinds being so low.
