I guess that depends on what you mean by "successful." If you mean, making a living at it, I do not know anyone that does that. I'm sure some people do, I just don't know any of them personally.

I feel that I am successful in that I enjoy playing, win enough that I never have to make deposits, and I take regular withdraws. I don't make anywhere near enough to live on, but I get paid to have fun. And I would call that a Success!

How about you?

I have a friend who plays for living for more than 10 years and have family and child also. He is the most successful player that i know personally. Another friend of mine is trying to do the same and lately he have some success. These are the only friends that play professionally.

Of the people I know and see, no one has earned money in poker, but there are big victories among them. On the forum, I am familiar with several players who have a steady income from playing poker. But personally, I never saw them.

Depending on what you consider to be a success in poker. I have been playing poker for 10 years. At first it was just a hobby, fun. But then I managed to get some good wins, and I realized that in this way you can make money. For the last 3-4 years I have a stable income from the game.

I have to work but my friend buck done hit it big and moved to vegas to grind on the tables. I like to think ill be there in next year or so but probrably not. But he makes 4 or 5 hundos a day on average and i only make 2 workn. Good luck.

I do know a couple of friends that started out on local poker houses (back in my last city) that started doing well nationally and are not hard to be found on those final tables of the Brazilian Series Of Poker.

I have a friend who moved to Germany 10 years ago and only plays in the casino. From what he tells me now, he makes a living from it, but he endured a lot until he got to where he is now. He is satisfied with himself and his earnings. We two were schoolmates and I can say about him that he had "cold blood" in him, he doesn't like halves of the measure and he recovered very quickly after a failure. When I talk to him, jokingly, I challenge him to a poker game when he comes to visit ... he takes it seriously and warns me to be careful how I manage my money that he does no favors to anyone!
