It's hard to take abuse from someone and not respond, but sometimes it's the only "SANE" thing to do. Someone needs to tell the other guy, "hate the game not the player".

I stopped playing the CardsChat FR's, because of the abuse.

Now...... it's relaxing to play a CardsChat FR. The appealing thing about them now is the friendly atmosphere.

I sat next to someone today, for most of the tourney, who used to be my arch enemy because of a CardsChat FR spit.

Today was wonderful. Just folks finishing their coffee, spinning off a Sat. morning.

Although I wasn't at the table I felt compelled to reply since owning up to our actions and apologizing is an important thing that we can all learn from. Great attitude and good luck at the tables bro!

chef you are one of my most respected friends online, sorry to hear the bad news, glad you handled it like a true team player. when i take a beat i usually let the other players comment, no need to insult another member. good luck on the tables jimmy, you play good enough to deserve a suckout every so often.

I'm impressed with the apology and with the strict rules. It really doesn't bother me when there is aggressive or abusive chat as it lets me know who is on tilt and can be toppled, but I never engage as to avoidupsetting others.

I find that spending time in the Chat window takes away from concentration on the game in hand. So there is little benefit to entering battles with opponents there it is better to concentrate on out playing them.

My Uncle (a non poker player) reminded me that Poker is gambling so what we proper poker players think of as donkisms are really just a part of the gambling game. We are of course entitled to be upset when the cards reward the gambles more often than statistical probability states they should, but that's the luck of the draw.

Still impressed to see the victim appologise for retaliating, very honourable of you.

Thanks for the apology, ChefJimmy. Sadly there are so very many immature folks "out there" who seem to have been encouraged by the televised as acceptable behavior. (In truth, at the on-line sites they do not like inappropriate dialog and appreciate their being reported.)

In the future, look forward to a pleasant experience at your tables.

Sportsmanship is a lost art in the world of poker anymore. Its sad that MMA combatants can beat each other to a pulp and then hug each other and go have a drink afterwards, but a poker player has to insult and swear and call names after taking a bad beat. If you cant control your anger at a poker table, or be a good sport , then this is the wrong hobby/profession for you. This game is tear you to pieces (kind of like golf lol) if you let it get to you. The biggest thing to remember is...KARMA. I am glad to see someone realize that and a better attitude seems to have an effect on cards you get. Good LUCK!

boring

I've seen so much worse than being called a damned donkey while playing poker that something so mild requiring a warning seems absurd. Good luck with ur super friendly games.I'd much rather mix it up with someone.Politeness can get awfully boring.

Do what you like in everyday freerolls (I really don't care) - but if you make it into a CC freeroll and start insulting cc members you will get banned, like it or not.

Poker is not for children,its for adults,and when someone doesnt act like an adult it wrecks it for the other players.I let someone lure me into this and received a warning,it was well deserved.This isnt just any poker site,nor are we in our back yards,this a group called Cardschat,we chose to be a member,they didnt choose us,they had rules when we got here,by agreeing to be a member,we agree to abide by those rules.We are members,we represent more than ourselves,we represent Cardschat,we should do so in an adult manner and in keeping within their rules,i failed to do this,i desereved the warning i got,i want to play as a member,in an environment of good players,with good attitudes.I let someone push my buttons and i made a mistake,i hope others can benefit from my bad experience by not making the same mistakes.If you found yourself here for some other reason than to be part of a great group of people,and compete with some really great players...then yes you might not be at home here,and there is no lock on the door...you may leave at any time...i myself like it here,i like the players and the site,so much so that when i did not represent them correctly this thread became necessary...you may do as you please,as for me,i,ve apologized to my members and made a personal commitment to be a better member in the future.

I have played with you and never seen you get out of line.
In fact most CC'ers show a great level of respect for their fellow players.

That being said, there are a lot of ______ out there (censoring myself) and on many tables I wanted to respond to them but I find that the best way to silence them is to take their chips.
Most of the loudmouths aren't that good to begin with.

if i took offfense to how many times i have been called a donkey at the table i would have to get rid of my feedbag full of crack...and that to me is unacceptible...

grow up and be adults ppl...the mods shouldnt have to feel like they run a daycare...their job is hard enough let alone having to put the kids in the corner too...
