Aside from calling our dear Annie a Hitler last episode, Joan now says tonite: "You're a poker player, and that is worse than white trash."

OOOoooo...haven't watched The Apprentice for a long time. But I cannot STAND Joan or her daughter, Melissa. I would sure like to know what Annie had to say.

Then check the show. Jeez. Annie has done more to promote poker than anyone on TV recently. BTW Meliissa is toast on the water this week... Annie skewered her. Watch or not watch. Poker players should pay attention.

I love this show and have gotten hooked. It's also cool following Annie Duke on Twitter about the show and other stuff she does, imo.

Joan acts old and mostly closed-minded. She judges things like a typical old person. Anything new is evil to her. She has no clue how poker players are in the 21st century.

Melissa is very child-like. Too connected to her mother. I can understand feeling pushed out or alienated by certain people, but she made herself look really horrible by throwing a hissy and storming out.

Annie is a strong-willed person. Some people could see her as bossy, but I don't see it being in an obnoxious way. She plays the game well.

Joan & Melissa got personal and tilted when they lost instead of just playing the game. They ended up cooking themselves. "Tilters" never win, I guess.

Joan Rivers is a nasty sour old woman who hopefully will melt one day ( along with her face ), when her ego flies too close to the sun. As for her offspring, typical pouting spoilt brat who mirrors her mothers tantrums and got where she is because of who she is not how good she is. I suspect "The Donald" will wade into them for their behaviour next week.

there was a great show with annie duke on rounders radio yesterday. the ultimate poker show. she had an awesome interview. no link up that I can find.
basicly, I think this was all for ratings. Joan comes across as an obnocuos old thing. she seeems desprite for attention. and wants to be the center of the action. the way melissa stormed off and refusing to do an interview, says alot about her. like a chip off the old block. acording to next weeks preview joan may not be back.
btw, did you see annie play garret from 'everyone love ray' head up last sunday?

This show was great! Melissa showed her butt in a bad way and Joan was wayyyyyyyyy over the top. Her insults to poker players were disgraceful. I have no respect for either of them.

On the other hand - I have gained tremendous respect for Annie Duke. Yes - she can be controlling and over bearing but she is hell bent on winning money for her charity and that is what drives her.

She has maintained total respect when being bashed by Joan and has refused to lower herself to Joan's level - and I think that shows incredible control and restraint.

After last night Annie Duke is my hero!

You guys really piqued my curiousity. Just watched it, well the 2nd half. I don't know who's more pathetic, mother or daughter. It's really the kind of stuff that can be career-damaging, ala Michael Richards-style (Kramer on 'Seinfeld'). Kinda shocking behavior for should be a semi-friendly celebrity fundraising competition. If DJ's link isn't great quality, see it here, only the occasional 15 - 30 second commercial.
