Hey poker friends!
There’s some exciting action coming up for the Asian poker community!
APT Online 2026 is now underway, running from October 11 to November 2, with an incredible $40 million in guaranteed prize pools, 20 trophy events, and a $5 million guaranteed Main Event. Even more interesting, winning a trophy event can earn a $10,000 seat to the APT Championship Main Event in Taipei!
The live APT Championship will take place in Taipei from November 13–29. That means there’s plenty of poker action to follow this month and next.
But here’s what I’m curious about…
Let’s talk poker!
1. Would you rather grind online tournaments for a chance at a big score, or travel to Taipei and experience live poker?
2. Do you think these huge guarantees are good for growing Asian poker, or do they mainly benefit experienced pros?
3. If you won a trophy event and earned that $10,000 Main Event seat, would you play it or sell/swap your seat if permitted by the rules?
4. What’s your biggest poker dream — winning a major tournament, making a deep run, or simply playing your best game?
Personally, I think the most exciting part is the possibility that an online player could turn one tournament into a chance to compete on a major live stage.
Over to you, CardsChat members! What do you think about APT Online 2026? Anyone here planning to play, or following the action?
Good luck at the tables, and may the river be kind!
