Average win percentage

So what is your average win percentage? This includes ALL your hands dealt even folded preflop. Example: Dealt 10 hands, played 5 past the flop, and won 2; you have 20% wins... I average about 15%, maybe 20. Just wondering where I'm at compared to yall.

This stat has no real significance...

You could win .01% of every hand played and still make a profit...

The most valuable stat is BB won per 100 hands for cash games, and ROI for MTTs and SNGs.

I have never tracked my winning percentage because so many things can effect it such as my type of play, type of game I'm playing, number of people at the table, etc. An example of type play is if I'm playing tight I will not have as high of percentage of wins as if I'm playing loose. That's because a tight player does not win as may games as a loose player but at the other end he does not lose as many games as a loose player either.

Ok ok... this stat makes no sense... my bad... not sure what i was thinking, but your replys are correct. Still learning something new all the time in poker. Feels like you could have years of experience and still be learning...

Amen on years to master if I could fix my tendency to overplay big hands post flop, which is the only major hole I am struggling to fix, I would make even more money. Already put up respectable numbers, the 2 stats cubbies mention look VERY nice in my database, but I really need to learn what the brake pedal is for. Although I believe being over aggressive is a better problem to have, than being too passive; nonethless I need to break a bad habit and tbh that's what it is more than anything

Can you explain BB won per 100 hands? I understand ROI for tourneys, and started keeping track of that, but not sure how to measure cash games. Of course i also have a daily balance excel sheet to keep track with also. I know i shouldn't look at daily balances, but how about weeks? Or is monthly the best way to look at it?

Big Blinds (in NL) or Big Bets (in Limit) won per 100 hands.

Say you've played 1000 hands of $1-$2 stakes limit and won $150, your BB/100 is 7.5.

Over a large sample (we're talking tens of thousands of hands), the biggest sustainable BB/100 for Holdem is probably somewhere between 2 and 3. In the short term, there's no real "ceiling" and you shouldn't pay toomuch attention to the number unless you've got a large sample size, as it's possible you're just running good/bad.
