Only problem with drinking beer while you are playing poker is this. Just when you have a good hand and waiting for a few players who are slow playing is the very time that you get that sudden urge to have to run to the bathroom for a whiz. Then by the time you get back to the computer your hand has folded and you realize that you actually had the winning hand if only you could have held on.

Man.. I always take a couple just before the tournament begins when in live poker. It helps me to calm down a bit.. use the same strategy for important bocce ball games..

But the secret is not going beyond those 2 cups of it.. otherwise it brings my game down with my anxiety hahaha

I never drink beer or any alcohol beverage when I play poker. Don't really think it's a good idea. But maybe for some people one beer or a couple of them can be helpful. After all, one drink can loosen you up and help you relax.

maybe it makes you have better guts but it makes you less right, less objective and more permissive, be careful playing while drinking alcohol, I think it's not compatible, that's why drinking is encouraged in casinos.

Yes i like it too, it gives me more patience, i like to drink some beers and put some music on. Too much is bad but if you can manage it is great. Cheers! 🍻🍻

If we play freeroll tournaments it is really hard to earn free monwy if you spend all money on the beers so I better drink normal water because it is much more healthy and I need to lose some of the kg.

If 1-2 cans of beer makes you feel more relaxed, then it's a good concept

But in general, I prefer to play sober, because sometimes alcohol can lead to serious losses.

There are studies that suggest that if you drink a very small quantity of alcohol (less than 1 pint of beer) your focus capacity will increase. Also if you go beyond that you concentration will drop dramatically. I advise to drink while playing poker only if you do both of them just for fun
