Best limits for 50 bucks?

Wow have I ever been playing on the wrong tables..I deposit 20$ and play on 10/20 cent no limit..Mostly go broke in two or three hours..So I wish I would have read this thread earlier.Thanks for the input...Sorry no advice here..lol

start at the 1/2 cent tables til you get to $100. after that you should be good to jump to the next level.

I haven't followed the bankroll management schemes, and perhaps I should. Just a quick question...Wouldn't it take you an awful long time to get to a hundred dollars from a fifty dollar BR playing 1/2 cent tables? And how many tables would you play at the same time? And how much would you sit in with? the maximum? ..Sorry for the string of questions, just curious..

You can easily double your buyin at a .01/.02c table in about 10 minutes if you are playing well, since a lot of the people at these limits will call A LOT.

As far as how many tables, that all depends on you buddy. If you fairly new, then I would probably stick to one or two, but if you are comfortable with it, you could easily go to 6-10.

And how much to buy-in with. I usually buyin around $4-5 on the .01/.02 tables, not sure about other people, that just seems to be the number I like.

dont play anything over two dollars, so if your in a sng make sure its two dollars or lower, if its a rebuy only plan on rebuying twice.dont play a 5cent 10 cent casht table try to build that bankroll roll up as high as you can playing low limit

I would say the 1-table $2+$0.25 SNG's. I played alot of these and it is pretty easy to cash.

In the 9-player, the winner gets $9, so if you win 1 out of 4 you're playin for free.

I found it a really good way to practice and I didn't run into too much donk play.

I would recommend playing tight at the start because there are the all-in merchants as always.

I like the 9 or 18 player sng's and the 90 player ko's. The KO's help you recover the entry fee even if you don't make the final table, I know because 10th place loves me. The sng's give you good odds of winning too just don't give up because you lose one game. The same goes for the KO's tourneys $3 buy in $72+ for first it pays good you can lose 3, 4 or even 5 and win only one to recover entry fees plus $$$$.

for 50 bucks i would sit in .25/50 till i get doubled up then move to 50/1 or 1/2 if you only like playing cash games sngs 2.25 are great then up to 550

Yea, playing at those limits, you could lose your whole roll in 1/2 a session. As far as the SNGs, those are the lowest limits that some sites offer, so that could be understandable, but no way for his cash limits.

If you are playing cash games then you should apply the logic that you need 80 to 100 BB's to play in a game. You can waork it out from there. If you are playing tourneys stick to the low level buy in. The theory is 5% of your BR but up to $2 is probably okay.

lol... to double up or bust even faster sit shortstacked at 1/2 hu and flip it

at least that way you are 50/50

Listen to what absoluthamm, aliengenius have posted and read it:deal:.. You won't have many players telling you how they lost there BR coz they did not stick with BRM.. Your BR is your life line in poker....

Exactly kid. It is easy to deposit $50 into Joe's Poker Room and immediately go straight to the .50/$1.00 table, but it isn't smart and it's a good way to make yourself have to deposit again the next day.

I can tell that some of you newer poker players are reading this and thinking that if you follow bankroll management then you suck at playing poker because you are expecting to lose it, but that isn't why. It is because no matter how good of a poker player you are, you are going to have bad streaks and cold cards, and by using BR management, you are protecting yourself against that.

very true, absoluthamm, i could not win a game on FT for some time, and could not make it past the first blind level. And i have had some bad runs on UB.
Plus learning good bankroll management helps on building a bankroll from freerolls..

If you feel confident about your play then hit up the big tables and wait for the biggest hand you can imagine and play the small and big blinds aggresively. HAHAHAHAHA I crack my self up.
