Best times to play?

I have been playing mainly on a non-US site (PKR) and have been experimenting on best times to play in terms of traffic but also looser games.I havent come to any definitive conclusions yet but was wondering if anyone has any thoughts/tips/info on this subject. I have gone on late at the tables where Europeans are in the hopes that late players are tired or drunk (unless I am lol) but havent really seen more loose playing then in the morning. Anyway, what d o yall think about this?

It seems that Saturday morning between 7AM and 10AM central time is best for me..

I think that you should be more concerned about when you're going to play your best game than your opponents playing are their worst. That is something that is much easier to figure out, and just maybe just as profitable.(I have no research or numbers to back that up, just thinking)
I agree that there might be times when there are more drunk, just got home from the bar and want to gamble players on, or just bad players playing. But one great thing with online poker, all time zones are playing at all times. If you do think that the play is looser in the morning for you then I would do what I can to make sure that I am playing my best in the morning, and not setting my alarm to wake up and play groggy so-so poker.

But I see your point. I already have my own personal rule that if I am not feeling good about playing, I will not play. At the danger of sounding holistic, I have noticed a real connection between my mood, or maybe a better way to put it is my energy level in terms of positivity among other things, and my winning game. Of course, I hit the tables sure I am gonna kill and dont sometimes, but then I know much sooner when to switch gears or just take a break. When I am tired or pissed off or whatever, I never really play that good, so I have gotten pretty disciplined with my state of consciousness and whether or not to play. Having said that, I love to hit the felts after a great night out with friends in the bar, so......

I was asking this because I have heard it mentioned a couple of times that among other criteria, playing times is something to think about when gearing up to play. I am for the most part bound by times when I CAN play, and mainly have to go by that, but am curious as to what others think about this topic.

State of consciousness is what matters allot while playing any game as if you are not feeling that good while playing than you cannot focus your mind perfectly as, by applying your strategies it is necessary to look at others too, as how they are playing or what are their mind sets.

When I play I free my mind with all negative impulses so that I can able to focus on my game.

I also never set an alarm to play. I wake up at 5 am Mon. through Fri., so I sleep in until a little after 7 on the weekends. With no one else in the house up that early, I play poker. And do well.

I generally get home from work around 11:30 p.m. (CST), grab a bite to eat or something, and play on Full Tilt and Poker Stars. I've noticed that the later/earlier it gets, the looser the tables become. Maybe I am being sterotypical, but I think European-based players tend to be more loose, so I like to play when there are a lot of foreigners on the tables. Anywhere from 1 a.m. - 4 a.m. (CST) is good.

This is about the same time I play to (pacific standard Time) .. I am also generally better focused at night ...

Tbh if your playing on pkr... and you have basic push/fold method you should b crushing the sng no matter whose at the tables.. they are all terrible.. i havent encoutered a decent reg there yet

usually i want 150k players on pokerstars when i want to play, under 100k, i dont play. weekends seem to go great.

Well, I am consistently doing better at PKR, but I find that I have to tread real careful with the Push/Fold in early stage, as the push is so seldom getting the respect it deserves. As 1 example, I bet AA 3 BB from UTG in fairly early stage, got all ined by a real donk, I mean she had, in like the 1st 20 hands gone all in 9-10 times (and had a huge stack, as many callers) and she was going with anything. So I pushed back and she had 8-5 os. I won, but wtf is someone doing that for? It is micro buy ins, so there is a significant lack of respect even when u play tight and well. But I guess thats what u mean with push/fold, and in early stage, i guess the bold is on FOLD???
