Better Players at Higher MTT limits?

I have been playin at higher MTT limits (25 to 35 dollar) at FT and PS lately. I get the impression there are more donks and just all around horrendous(i probably spelled this wrong) play at the higher limits! I just cannot believe some of these players. I feel like there are more better players at the lower limits. Anyone agree?

Well, I probably will not doubt you since I do not really have alot of experience with thes limits. But I am wondering if I should stick to these limits since I am no longer intimidated by the higher buy ins.

disagree. the higher the buyin the better quality of players on average. in general when people start winning they move UP in buyins not the other way around (winning players). of course there will be those that can directly start at the level you're playing at that don't know much either so you'll always find some weaker players on all levels.

If you want to see some donks, come and play the 250k on T6poker. It's just crazy that some of these players have invested 165 euros to play so bad. Also there are hundreds of sitouts.

I played sunday million last sunday (215 usd buyin).
( did not won anything , but it was fun)

And it was just at the maximum 2 donks at my table. Everyone else was good players.

The people at the tournament played like NL 100 dollar cash game players. So it was a fun tourny..........


If you play tournies with over 100 dollar buyin it is very good players.

I played some of the lower limit 4+0.40 (180 player sng) recently and checked the OPR ratings of the players at my table before we started The ratings were all over the place, one was below 3! couple in the mid 20's one was even in the mid 90's. The level of play was all over the place, and made hand variance a whole lot higher regardless of position(very hard if not impossible to put people on hands). I would expect that at higher levels the cost of the buy-in would eventually thin out the weak players.

You should stick with what your BR will allow. BR management is the key to success in poker(in my opinion). I don't like to speak for any one else.
Being comfortable with the buy ins and not being intimidated is all fine and well(because scared money never wins), but is your BR comfortable with the buy ins is the question you should be asking.

I've noticed that it doesnt really matter much if u move up in stakes because its all relative, usually if u have a bigger bankroll yes, u r playing at higher stake tables but say that the individual really doesnt manage there bankroll and he or she plays for fun whats a few bucks if u make for instance 100k a year. to where as an idividual who makes only 25k a year and plays at the 10. 20. tables. the same donk answers come into play ("its only 20 cents" or at the higher stake tables "its only 20 bucks i dont care") thats what i have noticed and im not saying its all just a salary issue just an observation and one factor that i have noticed.

the higher up you go in the limits does not necessarily mean anything.

a lot of the mid limit players are occupied by a lot of young guns that don't necessarily have the bankroll to play at the high stakes, but definately know what they're doing.

the higher you go up in takes you will find that the players are more agressive, and playing your position plays a much bigger factor. this does not ring true to everyone, for there are a lot of just rich flounders that don't care about losing thousands of dollars.

if you keep track of players, you will easily spot who the good players are. they are always online, and with much more money at the tables then the table allows initially for a buy in.
