I think winning small pots consistently - it's my variant. Because if approach the problem in time spent on game, this variant is more preferable because you didn't bring attention to yourself and in the distance consistans is always wins.

Winning big pots because in poker an optimum strategy is to play few hands, so i would like to get paid big to play a hand. It also goes with the style of play, generally a TAG would like to win big pots because of playing tight. While a LAG would win small pots consistently because he plays loose.

It depends on which mode you are playing... in the case of MTTs, I would say it depends on the moment of the tournament, that is, with high blinds, small pots are very welcome, while in the initial phase, where the blinds are low, large pots are more effective.

Winning big pots is a rush. I prefer winning small pots consistently as it feels more skill based to me.

I guess that accumulating small pots can generate big pots if the bankroll is larger to be able to withstand the variance, but if you can win the small pots, you can win the big pots, it's necessary.

Big pots with my dominant hands, small ones with marginal hands. With the former I want to maximize my win, while with the latter I keep my fingers crossed hoping that I'll get out of it alive. :)

Preferably smaller pots which can grow , avoiding too much risk, but if you get to a hand that you are very sure is unbeatable, most definitely on the river then we must try to make maximum profit.

Winning big pots occasionally is more exciting... but winning small pots consistently will more likely help you become a winning player. You play more bigger pots, you'll lose more bigger pots; you play more smaller pots, you'll lose more smaller pots. Obviously with both big and small pots, it's about picking your spots.

Pot control in general is a good thing. Building the pot too high while you still have a good stack depth is not wise, unless you are trying to force your opponent to fold.
Chipping up here and there is a good approach.

I generally prefer small pots. Situations where you can win big pots mean that you have most or all of your stack in the middle, which means that you can also lose big pots.

Depends on the situation.
I love double ups, so these are mostly big pots with big hands.
There has been a saying: big pots with big hands, small pots with small hands.
But nowadays with those mostly multiway hands it is not easy to achieve big or small pots.

I love this so the story is as follows at 8 started playing family at 11 was playing domino's pizza owners in weekly weekend games...Was that good honestly so the strategy was to be a smart assed kid making these rich guys laugh asses off at me and take their money without them knowing it was small pipsqueek me taking the money lol....That was uncle's advice anyway it worked so def was consistence small pots for many years and it remains my style....and yes they had guns etc...was pretty crazy scenes was small stakes really overall someone might walk out with 2500 at tops but was more like 200 winner here there etc...i was shooting for 250...only had a few really big nights but didnt really lose often maybe made them laugh enough they took it easy on me....but yes was scared when took all that money off table to leave each time hahahaha

My poker practice shows that I'm more likely to win small pots. However, I certainly prefer it when I double or even triple my pot. Yes, I need it in every tournament like a sip of good strong coffee every morning.:coffee:

Big pots because winning a bunch of small pots is a lot of work only to lose it all in one fluky hand. Plus the blind structure doesn't usually allow you to play for small pots very long.

I prefer to win pots of any size because any pot is a plus. But statistically I think most players win small and medium pots than big ones. :)

As a cash game player, I value long-term sustainability and minimizing variance.

While the occasional big pot is more exciting, a steady influx of chips feels more rewarding and less stressful in the long run.

The big pots come more rarely in cash games, but I won't deny that winning a whole stack (or several) is a thrill.

Winning many small pots often adds up more in the long run and is more dependent on poker skills and reading the situations and players.
