It is considered a bad omen to win the first hand.I think that figurines are the most common talismans.

We all have our lucky charm, one day it may be one thing and the next day the next but if you believe in those things and they do you good whatever you choose
Ace is fine

C) Lucky Card Protector: It is common for players to use card protectors with personal significance or as lucky charms. This is one of the most well-known superstitions in the poker world, along with wearing lucky clothing.

i pick lucky seat . not 'cause its lucky but because several of the live ones /aggro types /maniacs are to my right and the tight players unlikely to get out of line are to my left . that leaves me in a great spot for a big reraise or shove to put the loose ones to the test .

To me, success in poker comes down to math and pure logic, not superstition. Playing based on superstitious feelings or intuition usually leads to losing money. And luck is luck, but that doesn't mean it's superstition. Everyone needs luck in poker.

Poker has a funny way of making you believe short-term results mean something. After 20+ years of playing, I've learned that variance has no memory. The deck doesn't care that you've lost five flips in a row or bubbled your last three tournaments.

20 years of actual playing? Had you a few times at my table on wpt global and based on what i saw i got the impression that you must be as new to the game as it gets. Like Brandnew!

You probably meant that you know about poker since 20 years, no?

On topic: its answer "B" for me.

I don't really have any poker superstitions. Over time I've realized that relying on routines or lucky things can distract from what actually matters making good decisions. If I have any habit at all, it's simply starting a session only when I feel focused and mentally ready. That isn't superstition; it's preparation. In the long run, discipline, strategy, and emotional control have a much bigger impact on results than any lucky charm ever will.

Superstitions only interfere with the game, you should not believe in them.

I’ll admit, I’m not superstitious in general, but poker has a way of making you second‑guess yourself. For me, it’s option D all the way: “I don’t believe in luck… until AA gets cracked.” Nothing makes you question the universe more than watching your pocket aces go down in flames.
